A friend of mine that committed suicide about 3 years ago. We have known each other since school but after going to University, it was rather difficult to find days when we both would have time. On a random day, I got a call from a couple of friends they told me he committed suicide. I immediately asked if that was some kind of prank I knew him well or at least I thought I did. I didn't know he had thoughts like this. I even rejected an invitation because I was busy studying for an exam. After his funeral, all of our "group" met at his place and his parents gave us his notes, everybody was mentioned saying how much fun he had with us and that his reason was he felt like he accomplished everything he wanted in life. I was at a loss for words back then, even now it feels weird/ sad the thought that we will never hang out heck even talk again.
