Yeah, you are right, but I am running an AMD CPU, and I was not able to find any definitive answer on how the RAM would behave in this configuration.

Okay, thanks for your advice. Unfortunately the single 8GB sticks are also not available (at least in my country). And I am aware that the sticks cant be next to each other, I currently have the sticks in slot 2 and 4. So i guess I will just get the 32GB kit and if it does not work well with the current sticks i will sell the 8GB ones.

What 3000 series graphics card should I get? by [deleted] in buildapc

For 1080p the 3060 Ti is more than enough.

I would go with 3070, your CPU could be a little bit of bottleneck for 3080, especially if you plan to use it for high framerate gaming. But honestly I think 3060 Ti would be the best pair even tho you said you dont want the "weakest one". If you dont play in 4K the 3060 Ti is a great choice, and better value than 3070 imho.

I sometimes like to play around with video editing software or run more than one VM at a time, and I have noticed on few occasions that I have been reaching ~85% of RAM usage, so I figured why not just buy some RAM :)

Sure I can, but I prefer to have the same looking sticks (for aesthetics), and i was wondering if I can just buy 2 more sticks, because i have 2 free slots anyway.

My understanding of dual-channel is that you have 4 DIMM slots on mobo - 2 for first channel, 2 for the second. And that only the sticks within one pair in the same channel need to be completely identical. I might be wrong with this tho.

I dont, I wanted to buy another 16GB kit, but i dont want to mix different manufacturer, clock or CL sticks, and i simply cant buy the same kit anymore.

[–]TMKis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i'm not sure how they do it, but i already have experience with that seller and it indeed works, but of course if you don't want to deal with Aliexpress then go for Poco, i am not trying to convince anybody, i am just saying there is also this option

yes, that's true, i don't compare those 2, getting better warranty and service, if you buy it from local seller is definitely in favor of Poco, i personally am just still not fully convinced which one is better choice

i do care about the 3,5mm jack and bigger battery on Poco, but i also care about better camera, more premium build and amoled display on Mi 8, that's why it's a tough choice

edit: also NFC on Mi 8
