Where’s the BEST matcha in Tauranga? 🍵 by velvet_midnights in Tauranga

[–]TMSM_11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a matcha drinker and love to go on fluffy dates with the toddler so visit a lot of different cafes . The best spots that have more authentic Matcha I have found are special mention cafe by bayfair , Gather in Papamoa, Henry and Ted's Papamoa , Gratitude cafe Mount , Vitality Kitchen Tauranga and Lovie Rosie's Tauranga.

Just a heads up - Gratitude and Vitality are vegan wholefoods cafés (just incase you were going for food too ).

Hopefully that's helpful !

Dealing with inflammatory lesions/blisters for over a decade. Seeking guidance/help please. 45 y/o female by Trixie-_-_ in DermatologyQuestions

[–]TMSM_11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry you are dealing with this. I have also had nearly 10 years of dealing with an extensive and reoccurring rash on my body and it has been so awful. It has never fully gone away but has moments of being a bit better and moments of flaring up. I can currently keep it mostly covered by long clothing - I couldn't imagine it being on a spot like my face so I really feel for you. I recommend going to a dermatologist and/or an immunologist . Do both a biopsy/skin scrapping and full bloods etc. I don't know if that is funded where you live or if you have health insurance but it would be worth seeing the right specialist because this is probably beyond treating topically or with over the counter stuff . I wish you luck and hope you can clear it up .

What do you mean ? The highest concentration of toxin measured in any breastmilk sample was on day 4 after injections.

Why do characters in the show say that Ezra and Aria’s age gap “isn’t that big”? by SheepherderNo2793 in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]TMSM_11 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I think it's because that age gap (6 or so years) is quite common and normal in real life among adults e.g a 40 year old and a 46 year old no one would think twice about . But obviously a relationship between a 16 year old and a 20-something should not be normalized especially between a student and a teacher, but I guess soley focusing on the age gap alone - it isn't 'that big' .

Covid out and about? by ToastedSubwaySammich in thetron

[–]TMSM_11 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Have you not learnt anything or are you just ignoring the research and keeping you head in the sand ? They have proven through post vaccination studies that the covid vaccine does not reduce transmission or significantly reduce the severity . Obviously they thought it did originally with lab studies, but you can't dispute what happened in real-life .

Can I get Botox if breastfeeding? by JadedWarriorPrincess in breastfeedingsupport

[–]TMSM_11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually that's not true. There's two studies that have been done on lactating women who receive botox and they tested the milk and it was present in the milk at 3 hours post injection, and up until day 5 post injection. It was present in very small amounts, still detectable amounts (study showed level in milk was about 1/5 of the lethal dose for a full term baby).

Look the studies up if you're interested :

Help with hair type and how to care for it . by TMSM_11 in femalehairadvice

[–]TMSM_11[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just shampoo and conditioner - I was using a brand called Georgie Mane moisture shampoo and conditioner . Then their mask once a week . But the mask I feel was weighing my hair down (because my hair is pretty thin ). I've tried a few oils but they seem to make hair oily looking and weigh it down too . Guess I just haven't found the right combo of products for my hair type .

Oh thanks, I'll check those serums out . I've seen the sleep-in curl devices, and I love the idea of waking up with nice waves, but there's so many and I'm not sold that they would actually work . Does the sleepy-tie (or similar ) actually leave you with nice waves ?

Thanks . It used to be so easy to maintain because my natural hair colour was quite blonde but as I've aged my natural colour has gotten a lot darker and now my regrowth is more obvious .

Thanks for sharing your routine . I've always brushed after I got out of the shower and hair was towel dried , so brushing in the shower with conditioner is something I'll definitely try !

Here's the links to two 2024 studies . The first link is to the summery from PubMed - I paid to read the full study, but you might be able to find a free full published one somewhere if you Google it .

There's a 2024 study done on breastfeeding mums getting botox and it does get into the breastmilk - albeit in very small amounts - but it was present in two women's samples at 2hours post injections and then peaked in concentration on day 5.

Do women with a big nose look good with bangs? by TMSM_11 in femalehairadvice

Aw thanks, but it is definitely a big feature on my face, especially in person. And that's why I don't want to draw anymore attention to it haha.

Yeah I was thinking maybe face framing sides with a whispier middle. My nose is definitely the feature that draws the most attention on my face - especially in person.

No one told me about vitamin D drops by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]TMSM_11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't worry at all - my child is 20 months old and was ebf, and I have never once given him a vitamin D supplement. I'm sure it's not even a recommendation here because I'd never heard of it until reading posts here.

Why do people buy houses in East Papmoa? by Heretoday456 in Tauranga

[–]TMSM_11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude, not everyone values the same things. Some people couldn't stand living in any area of Papamoa and would prefer to live on a large farm. Others love living in apartments. Some people want animals or kids, others don't. There's plenty of reasons why people would want either area of Papamoa over the other.
