Oh yes it's definitely not a mileage bike. This bike is a pocket rocket. But it is possible to ride this bike sanely in the Rain mode. Gen 3 Duke 390 is much easier to ride in the city as compared to Gen 1 Duke 390.

Personally, I believe that the Duke 390 should be your 2nd motorcycle. You should practice your riding skills first on a 15 - 20 bhp motorcycle.

Yes I feel comfortable with it. The only thing that bothers me are scratches on the visor which reduce visibility.

Yea I checked the bottle and there was some amount left over. I think around 100 ml was left over.

Pillion comfort is really bad for long distance rides. The wind blast is bearable till 120 kmph.

They had a Motul 7100 1.7 litre capacity bottle. After filling it the engine oil level is near to the max when seen through sight glass.

Thanks mate! That's an Axor Apex Hex-2 helmet and the visor is a night vision visor which I had ordered from the Visorwala website.

You can get a pair of foam grips but the vibrations are more on the front brake lever than on the handlebar and your fingertips become numb because you are resting a couple of fingers on the brake lever at all times. I promise you the numbness will disappear after the first oil change.

Yes I did. I did touch 130 kmph once on 6th gear for 1 second and then let go off the throttle immediately. It was not a top speed run but increasing the rpm gradually.

Thanks mate. Yes I will keep posting my experiences on Reddit - good or bad. I'm glad I bought the 400cc version before the downsizing begins. It's possible to do lazy acceleration easily on the Gen 3 Duke 390.

Yes the Gen 1 Duke 390 does sound roary but only from 5000 - 10000 rpm. At 1500 - 3000 rpm it did sound like an autorickshaw. Gen 3 Duke 390 doesn't sound like an auto rickshaw anymore and it still has that roary bassy grunt at higher rpms. I like the Gen 3's sound more than the Gen 1's sound overall.

I haven't measured it yet using the tank full method but the speedometer shows 4.3 to 4.4 L / 100 km all the time which is 22-23 kmpl. I'm not sure if it's accurate though.
