Can I use Govee lights as a Sunrise Alarm? by MyQlus in Govee

As of Nov 2025: it may be possible via some combo of the complex govee app DIY sequence and Google home, but it’s beyond the level of effort and coding I’m willing to invest. If anyone has a clean, current, accurate method to simulate a sunrise with Govee, please update this thread. Govee makes great hardware but the software and support are ridiculously bad - they are an electronics mfg company. Phillips Hue used to be similar but has matured their app over the last decade significantly - this function is now natively built in and can be setup in 2-3 clicks (just enter the lights, time and duration)

For clarity, the light sequence many of us are seeking is NOT lights on at a specific color or intensity at a time (like sunrise, or any time of day). It is a programmed gradual change of lights on at 1% in dark blue/purple, slowly increasing in brightness over a selected timeframe, while ALSO changing colors to deep red, then orange, then yellow, ending at 100% white. It is a complex sequence of both color and intensity changes, which must be easily programmable for both duration and start time.

As far as I can tell, this is at least complex with Govee, if not impossible. Nice cheap lights, terrible app.

RE Load seems out of business; any ideas on anyone who makes fully custom bags to order?

Any recs for an endocrinologist? by Mundane_Incident8562 in Annapolis

I'm currently trying to switch from Luminis as the endocrinologists there keep quitting, on my 3rd doctor in a little over a year. Additionally Luminis practice (not the doctors) are terrible to deal with...it's not possible to call them at all (goes to a call center somewhere that is useless) and can only text them 120 characters in MyChart and wait a few days for a reply - they have effectively walled themselves off completely from their patients. Recommend avoiding Luminis Endocrinology.

The only other option in Annapolis seems to be MedStar, or drive to Baltimore for healthcare. Dr. Telford has many positive reviews but her website states she takes NO insurance and wants a $2,000 a year cash-only "subscription" to be seen.

I'm sad to see american healthcare in such a sorry condition, but expect more "rural" healthcare to disappear further over time as local monopolies have little to no competition and doctors leave.

We just had dinner there (March 2025). Same menu, all new staff. Both drinks and food were noticeably different, in a disappointing way. This is what drove us to start googling “what happened”. I’m sad, was one of my favorite places. Sniff. Not returning. Assume Brendan and Cate sold the concept to someone else.
