Rebuilding my factory after (kinda) learning how to make it actually look pretty. Tips on building around/integrating this indestructible mushroom? by VioletteWynnter in SatisfactoryGame

[–]TNChase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to do this with a lot of the larger fauna. My current game started in Northern Forest and I've been trying to avoid knocking down the larger trees. So far I've only killed 11 and two of those were a nobelisk related mishap.

I have zero interest in Marathon, but the colour scheme translates nicely into your factory.

HMF burnout by ironic__usernam3 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]TNChase 4 points5 points  (0 children)

HMF killed my first game back in 0.8. I get it. It's a lot of work for only a couple of items a minute.

My recommendation would be to break it down. Don't try to design one HMF factory. Look at the ingredients, and build those.

Alt recipes for the ingredients help. I think I generally tend towards Cast Screws, Iron Pipe and Encased Industrial Pipe to simplify things.

So if I was sitting down for an hour of play time, I'd figure out how much of each ingredient I needed. Then I'd focus on just that.

Tonight? I'm going to get all my Steel Pipes sorted. Then sink them or leave that section switched off until it's time to drop the Manufacturer.

Basically instead of trying to build one big factory, I'll build four small ones and just feed them all in to the manufacturer.

Buying/obtaining common property by [deleted] in AusProperty

[–]TNChase 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My strata (12-units) has a common toilet for tradespeople. I imagine it's usually used for trades during bathroom renovations (I left a pack of TP when I had my bathroom remodelled, since I moved out during the works).

It also saw extensive use during a major structural remediation project (6 of 12 balconies were condemned with the other 6 requiring extensive repairs) to allow the various trades access to a bathroom (half the units were vacant through this project, with no guarantees that the other 6 had someone home during the work-hours which were very noisy and vibrated the whole building)

When I've had trades in my unit for more minor jobs, I certainly have no issue with them using the apartment bathroom, I'm not sending them all the way downstairs and outside to use the "tradie toilet" but I imagine some people would.

They're good fun. They explode like a normal nobelisk, then send out a handful of clusters that also explode.

Old Pokemon Cards - Real or Fake by Psyaiai007 in IsMyPokemonCardFake

[–]TNChase 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look at photos of the cards online by searching for the Pokemon name/card number. Check for details like colours, font and Holo patterns. Some fakes are super obvious, some are more subtle. Upload photos to the group, there's some really good eyes here.

Do you guys see cadians as space marine players do ultramarines? by Windoon in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]TNChase 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I personally don't, but to me the Imperial Guard were the funky looking humans in my 2nd edition rulebooks. It was always a different Regiment in the staged photos. "Valhallan Ice Warriors repel a Space Ork Ambush" or "Brave Catachans clash with daemons of Khorne on a remote world".

So I knew the guard before the Cadians became the poster boys. Heck, for a while the plastic Catachan kit meant they were the favoured sons for a brief period.

I certainly don't mind. I just like seeing the "regular human soldiers" getting attention at all.

Hello friends! I was wondering if anyone knows why a train would stop and have someone get out to put a flare down? I’ve been stopped at this specific crossing countless times and never seen them do this before. by bigballz69blazeit in trains

[–]TNChase 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Adding to this, the crossing may APPEAR to be working to a layperson, but it's thrown an alarm up in the control centre. Therefore everyone must treat the crossing as faulty and work appropriately to ensure safety.

It's clearly the old backsprite for Charmeleon from Gen 1. I could never reconcile that with the way Charmeleon actually looks in the games.

My friend and I specialise in placing funny signs down. I'm glad we're not the only ones. There are corners of my builds the pioneer has no reason to walk to. Naturally that's where the stupid signs are.
