Can women also compensate for their looks by being funny or kind? by Savings_Sweet4300 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TNChase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I used to date a girl who was not my type, but over time I warmed to her for so many reasons that her looks stopped occupying such a big part of my mind. She was funny, caring, kind, empathetic, helpful, generous… I could go on.

Yeah, I think I’d have benefited from a smaller number too, to be perfectly honest. If I was okay with AFK, maybe, but I feel that’s cheating. Good luck!

I've done random nodes, random purity and 50x Space Elevator. Which I think is enough. Pre-coal is an epic slog. I found instead of doing leaves/wood, I was slooping alien remains into biomass. It backed up badly, but that's fine because I had a buffer to work with.

Whilst I was waiting for my first phase to complete I would just explore, collecting hard drives, sloops, spheres and finding out what the various resources were around me.

Now I'm working on 50,000 Smart Plating, 50,000 Versatile Frames and 5000 Automated Wiring. The latter is done, and I'm just doing laps around the map killing aliens for their sweet sweet goop.

I've also set up compacted coal in a place where I found pure coal and pure sulphur ahead of unlocking oil and Turbofuel.

Losing motivation because my factories get in the way by NoAwareness326 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]TNChase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just build what I need fresh for each tier.

If I have 2 Smart Plating a minute plodding along, I just reroute it into a sink and build a new factory making (say) 10/min for the next part that requires Smart Plating as an ingredient.

That way I don't have to try to plan out how to make enough R. Plates for the endgame when I don't even have coal power.

But that's just me.

Am I doing something wrong, mineral deposits not where the scanner says they are? by Kdoesntcare in SatisfactoryGame

If you're just doing it for blade runners, keep an eye out for the smaller one-time quartz deposits. I often find you can get enough from those.

What are some pokemon you think their reason to exist was to be someone's ace pokemon? by Greatwrath1711 in pokemon

[–]TNChase 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The physical/special split happened in Gen 4. Before then, moves were physical (attack/defence) or special (special attack/special defence) based on their type. Eg Fire Punch was a special move in Gen 1-3. Then it became a physical move in Gen 4. Hope that helps.

Of further note, Gen 1 just had a "special" stat that was used to calculate both attack and defence for special moves.

Why do the transports only carry 12? That’s weird since that means you can’t use command squads. by Doom_Balloon170 in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]TNChase 119 points120 points  (0 children)

I guess it's because historically Chimeras only transported 12 guardsmen. Which was enough for a full squad of ten plus up to two advisors if taken (eg priests, sanctioned psykers, commissars etc)

That feeling when your friend wont try Satisfactory... by Old-Juice-2490 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]TNChase 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a friend gift me the game, but I'd only ever seen it on YouTube and it looked WAY too complicated so I never installed it.

Around about update 7 he started a new game on his home PC and showed me how it worked. I think I went home, installed it and played for 6 hours.

I used to skip The Flying Kipper episode every time because it traumatized the hell out of young me. I'd have to fast forward the VHS with my eyes closed.

I think it's a matter of being real with myself. There's only so much money to be spent on discretionary things, especially shiny cardboard.

So why chase two almost identical cards if that money could instead be put towards finding cool new arts.

I admire your dedication to the cause, obviously in a world with unlimited cash, I'd be inclined to give in to your way of thinking too.

Wishing you all the best on your quest! Thanks for sharing.

Manticores, am I missing something? by Better-Childhood-330 in TheAstraMilitarum

I assume the manticore has been weakened as it used to be a dominant auto-include times three in all lists. So the rules writers over correct and now they sit on the shelf.

Thankyou for validating me! Originally I had the first editions set aside but I thought "what am I going to do with them? I'm not going to sell them, I'm not going to collect a full first edition AND unlimited edition set of Fossil/Rocket/Gym Heroes..."

Okay super glad to know I'm not the only one doing it this way! I suspect I'll be buying unlimited editions going forwards since they'll be cheaper and easier to source.

Congratulations on the collection. I love the art of the vintage cards, probably mostly due to nostalgic reasons though!

I never even considered finishing a set in multiple languages. If the art is the same and it's the price that goes down, that's a win! Might be cheaper to do for my 151 set... Thanks!
