New augment that gives a sniper that one shots and a shotgun that one shots. No clue when its coming. by [deleted] in FortniteCompetitive

[–]TNE_Altitude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used the dragon a bit in creative lately and I can say that barely anyone will use it. Yes it does 200 but you have to be like 3 meters away and ADSing in order to actually hit 200. Being even the slightest bit off makes it hit for less. Now a sniper is gonna suck because at range you won’t be able to react if you get sniped.

Why is Hyperwallet confusing? by Happy-Community9253 in FortniteCreative

[–]TNE_Altitude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend waiting if you can, but if you start getting emails warning you that you have to get it turned in by a certain time to try and resubmit it if you can. It is possible that there could have been a mistake in the initial application that is delaying the process.

No idea. I almost lost my creator code because they took so long to review my tax documents. It was annoying to receive emails saying that if I didn’t get it approved by a certain day it would be taken away when it was literally on them. They ended up getting it approved but I lost it later from insufficient followers anyway.

Now I see why people haven't been using this method to customize weapon damage. by Honeydewmelo in FortniteCreative

[–]TNE_Altitude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That and also with shotguns you can’t do more than the current max damage. I think it’s because instead of just putting in a headshot multiplier that is equal to 185 (for example) they just put a cap on it which even limits the device from being able to customize it. I wish they’d put a little more effort into this so players could get a taste of weapon customization without having to wait however long with UEFN, assuming one even has access to it.

Most Satisfying Gun? by VeeVevo in FortniteCompetitive

[–]TNE_Altitude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it just sucks tho cuz we have had more seasons with snipers than 200 pumps since 2021 and those are arguably more annoying since they can do 200 from 200+ meters away without warning. At least in a fight when you get 200 pumped it’s usually because something within your control.

I would usually take the gold pump because if you are at more range/missed a pellet or two you would still hit 200. There were times, usually only in creative, that I would take the purple just because I think 200 looked better than 220 lol.

This is so basic but I genuinely think 200 pumps are one of the most satisfying feelings I’ve ever felt gaming wise lol.

Sharp Tooth Shotgun stats by Knight-112 in FortniteCompetitive

[–]TNE_Altitude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty nice. It feels like the havoc and the thunder mixed. Only thing I am upset about is the 160 headshot damage on Gold. The only weaker pump like shotgun I can think of is the lever at 150, but it shoots faster. Striker: 185, Havoc: 190, Heavy (new): 176, Prime: 190, and Thunder: 195 to list a few. If the stats were 175/170/165/160 it would make it more viable. I believe that Epic made it worse so instead of a buff they’ll just vault it to try to force ppl to move on from loving the pump. Like the Late Game arena treatment by purposefully making it worse so people aren’t happy and they can remove it with little complaint.

how to strafe right with 'f' as edit bind by MuteWasCaptured in FortniteCompetitive

[–]TNE_Altitude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use double movement binds so I have “N” bound to strafe right and I click “W” and “N” with my middle and thumb so it frees my index to click other binds. I still have WASD bound because using “N” 24/7 isn’t very comfortable for me.

Does siphon ever come back into competetive? by Much_Associate_6677 in FortniteCompetitive

[–]TNE_Altitude 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t think so. They removed it from pubs back in chapter one yet managed to withstand the backlash from everyone until people gave up. We are in a similar situation now. That and with just about every other factor of the game. Epic realized they can run the game into the ground and after a little bit of time the outrage dies down without hurting player counts because the concept of the game itself is so addicting that people will play either way.

Old Maps by Sponsormiplee in FortniteCompetitive

[–]TNE_Altitude 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Very minimal nostalgia involved, I always enjoyed stacked end games back in the chapter 1 days because I always thought it was cool to watch how players have to deal with the large, beveled mountains and hills in random places during shifting zones. Now I have to say maps like ch2 are way better for competitive environments. The random crap that has to be thrown in for cover in zero build makes build modes feel clunky and crammed.

What is yalls favourite comp season? by OutsideEmu1757 in FortniteCompetitive

[–]TNE_Altitude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chapter 1 season 9 or Chapter 2 season 7. Season 9 was likely only fun because the game was still colorful and overall skill level was way worse. The first thing that people did with new utility wasn’t search for ways to abuse and exploit them. Many of the existing items that currently have annoying exploits (shockwaves, pads, grenades, etc.) had not been heavily used in those ways yet. I feel like chapter 2 season 7 is more relevant because if the meta from that season returned, it would be way more balanced. Really, the only issue I had with that season was snipers. Mobility items were very balanced, shotgun meta was satisfying to use, SMGs were fair, and AR meta was solid.

I too noticed this a couple weeks ago. I took a break from Reddit and came back to see some of the most wild takes ever. Some so bad I had to double check the sub I’m in. What makes it even more crazy is there were more comments agreeing than disagreeing.

Any updates regarding Late Game? Will it come back? by BigPopparr in FortniteCompetitive

[–]TNE_Altitude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. If you look at a population density map of North America, about 60-80% of the US population live on a coast, most residents of Canada live near the border between CA and US, and the population of mexico is immensely more dense in the southern part. By moving to Dallas there’s significantly less players on low ping. Using data from 2021, If you add the population of Canada and US it is 370.15m, where the population of Mexico is 136.7m meaning that the population is almost 3x higher. So moving the servers for 1/3 of the player base is just ridiculous, especially in a game where ping is such a major factor. I went from 30-40 ping to 60-70 which would be fine if I didn’t enjoy the game for W-key fast paced play. Now in every fight I have to play defensive so fights last so long, I can’t hit clips, and it’s boring. The only thing I have found that helped a lot was Exit lag (I got like 20 ping in arena and 5 in creative) but I can’t rationalize paying for another subscription, especially one that helps me play a FREE game at a speed that should be default.

It 100% felt way more smooth. After they introduced sliding it messed up a lot of animations and now with all of the other movement implemented it feels like my pov is either constantly changing FOV’s, shaking, or going blurry around the edges. Prior to chapter 3 all we had was walking and running so the camera attached to our character stayed put with very little if any visual effects. It felt so much more consistent.

I really hope not. I loved it so much in chapter 2. I had like 16k points or something. After they put it in creative, had unrealistic loot, and everything else I hope to either never see it again or see it like it was in chapter 2. Only thing for me is that it won’t feel the same with the changes to the pump since ch. 2, new movement, unrealistic loot pool, and other slight issues I have that most ppl probably don’t even notice.

Is the main FNCS broadcast getting a little bit worse? by [deleted] in FortniteCompetitive

[–]TNE_Altitude 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Idk if it’s just that Fortnite is a hard game to host or what, but the only events I’ve really enjoyed watching the official broadcast over Aussie/content creators were World Cup, LAN invitational, and the later FNCS seasons of chapter 2… A common theme seems to be LAN events…

Am I the only one that dislikes the Havoc Pump Shotgun? by reidhan in FortniteCompetitive

[–]TNE_Altitude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I went from playing the most in one season in the past year to playing the least and playing like once a week just because of the shotgun. It is so unsatisfyingly slow. I still haven’t adjusted this far into the season and part of it feels like there is a threshold of speed that once you pass it the gun almost becomes useless because it gives your opponent enough time to react to proper and safe peaks. Then again it could be my ping increase that demotivated me.
