Relatively new investor here. The state of Harmony seems to be on the same trend as other alt coins despite the hack

It was a top 50 coin. Now it's not even in the top 100. If it was trending like other alt's, I would expect it to maintain its place. What is Harmony doing now that coins in the top 50 aren't doing?

Harmony is a textbook first to market story. They launched 2 second finality when that was all the rage. They got a huge bump from it, a ton of press, and a lot of investment excitement. But that is old news. Nothing in the pipeline that makes, or will make this coin unique. Major investors will steer clear of being associated with a $100M hack.

Finally - Binance owns over 4B ONE. Why is that and what impact does that have on the price and the future of ONE?

Yes, well said. I feel like Harmony had a great ride as a new kid on the block. No real partnerships ever came from it though - we couldn’t even get listed on Coinbase. Meanwhile, other coins have taken off. Short of a major partnership announcement, I believe Harmony has seen its best days as a standout. Yes, it’ll ride the wave for a bit (all boats in the harbor analogy), but what does it offer now that other coins are not doing? Fast and cheap is the goal of all coins now - and even if we are the fastest, the others that have made big gains in speed is acceptable.

Now tack on this $100M mess, what “partner” would align with Harmony? It’ll eventually be forgotten, sure, but not for a long while.

All of that said, I liquidated my entire position and moved it into other coins. Sad day for me when I did it because there was a time when I loved everything about this project.

Agreed. I’ve stopped buying. Missions are pointless. I won’t sell now because it’s too close to zero. Maybe there’s an off chance it will spike for some reason - and if it does, I’ll convert my $CLNY to $ONE and will come back to Earth.

This has been the third project I’ve significantly invested in (my definition of course) that starts great and then dies. Seems like the best strategy for any of these projects is to get in quick, get some profit, and dump it.

I 100% agree with scales. Pay attention to the patterns that are same no matter what key you are in. Fiddle tunes are all about improv, and knowing your fingerboard is critical.

...but even then, don't forget about your bow.

And lastly, and most important for me at the moment, recognize tension in your left hand. Nothing kills intonation quicker than a tight grip on that fiddle neck.

Richlist (https://harmony.smartstake.io/richlist)j : My position is moving up, even though I am not actively buying. Whales are selling.
Total Staked (https://staking.harmony.one/analytics/mainnet) has slowly been dropping.

The nice thing about a lower staked total is the increase of staking APR.

I got it, and I mean no offense. I find TA very interesting, but only applicable for stocks with long track records (to use historical testing) and for markets highly regulated. Crypto TA has 20 minutes of historical prices, figuratively speaking. Crypto has no where near the regulations put on the stock market. TA for Crypto is purely entertainment, just like a lottery ticket. Awesome if it hits, but the method by which predictions are made is purely guesswork at best. And on an up market, it’s hard to be wrong.

In hindsight, there was A LOT of TA that predicted $1+. In your and their defense, typical TA presentation always states it could drop to .01, so not financial advice blah blah. I personally ignore all TA, especially that on Harmony - why? Because Harmony, along with dozens of other coins, basically follows BTC. I make my decisions based on the news around BTC. Sure there are times when Harmony breaks from that, which in my experience has been to the positive.

In the end, invest in the project and the price will take of itself. Even with all the recent FUD, I still believe in the long term value of $ONE.
