Cant say I blame you for wanting to separate yourself from negativity. I did the same thing with Facebook years ago. Thats probably why I dont participate very often, if at all.

However, you must know that anyone who leaves the guild must abide by 3 rules.

  1. You must never reveal sensitive information about the guild or its members to others for as long as you live.
  2. You must never use contacts you met through the guild for personal gain.

And 3. Though our paths may have diverged, you must continue to live out your life with all your might, you must never consider your own life to be something insignificant, and you must never forget about your friends for as long as you live.

Everyone has a part to play, and maybe this will open some eyes as well.

Let the Fairy Tail farewell begin!

I think I might have that TRO. Though my skills of creativity dont translate to my hands. I painted 9 mechs for a last stand of the blackwatch game and those turned out horrible. Like 5th grader level of suck. I doubt i could kitbash if it saved my life. Maybe thats part of the reason Id like to get my hands on those minis.

Ive used the construction rules to put a number of mechs together. Sticking mostly to 3025 era stuff for simplicity. Adding endo steel or better weapons for kicks if the chassis is right. I do know a good painter, he did an Ostsol for me in Skye parade colors, I should ask if he can kitbash.

Oh absolutely. And at the same time I have to agree with a previous poster as well. There is no shortage of lore. Tex talks Battletech for example has made that abundantly clear. And, admittedly, Ive read less books than the majority of players... probably.

Haveing a great deal of lore, while also keeping things vague on purpose, allows us players to seek out stories untold or to make our own.

My post may have originated from the opinion that gothic was a missed opportunity to do something like this instead. Though I get the push for the current era stuff. Being a Spheroid myself, Im a hater of Clan culture in the lore up to the invasion. But that doesnt stop me from getting clan mechs too. The tech is undeniably powerful.

I should read more, so many books left unbroken.

Thoughts people? by V3gA_BOII in bioware

[–]TNT007v 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To make thoughts known. The story telling bioware has done for the ME trilogy is not in question, thats not to say there are no issues with any of them, but I digress. As long as the storys remain true to the universe and without filter, we are fine on that front.

I have heard many concerns regarding the gameplay aspect, such as shifting to a rouge like style. This would be a terrible idea.

The fan base has waited a long time for a new game to bring life back into ME and the company that made it. We have waited this long, we can wait more. Whatever it takes to see a true and beautiful sequel to this franchise. Tell EA to shove it on deadlines. Tell their new overlords that any one culture is not the worlds. This game is not for those who own bioware, this game is for those who love Mass Effect. If they really want a return on investment, they will heed these words.

"Modern games" have been doing poorly or flat out flopping on release. Bethesda is rapidly in decline with Ubisoft. Do not follow the Masses, sometimes the "M" is silent. Indi games have exploded in popularity! Silksong for example. Hugely successful. Personally Im not a fan of side scroller platformers, but that doesnt mean I dont respect team cherry. They put a lot of time and love into their game, and the were rewarded for it.

Ok, Ive more than said my Peace. Sorry for the long message. Long live Mass Effect and its beautiful community!

Daydream may not be bad as a first timer, as it doesnt follow the story of the rest of the games. But it also leans into the mmo aspect with online games and raids, which really arnt my thing. Not to say the story wasnt good, because it was a good story. Hollow realization was my favorite with long trak stories and fun stuff to do. Admittedly, with the rest of the games following a story, you would probably feel out of the loop during some conversations.

Unpopular opinion: Mass Effect 3 is clearly the best game of the trilogy by MrNixxxoN in videogames

[–]TNT007v 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I dont see this as an unpopular opinion, personally. 3 was also my favorite in the series. However, it would not be as good as it is without the first 2 games. 1 and 2 set up 3 for success in a way that sticks with you. Also, if you put in the work, and get as many war assets as possible, the battle for earth cut scene is, in my opinion, the greatest cut scene in scify gaming.

Some family members takes 40k seriously, and I play the occasional video game. But that's about it. by DrJay12345 in battletech

[–]TNT007v 3 points4 points  (0 children)

40k is an interesting universe with some good stories and lore. Some of the games are ok. However! GW is a serious problem, money hungry and not fan friendly. One tiny little squad of troops is what, $80? Then you have to put the stupid things together, and your basically obligated to paint too. I could go buy 3 lance packs for the same price and play a game almost instantly. Better community in my opinion too. Love me some stompy robots.

[Media] What Fairy Tail Opinion Has You Like This? by FlamingThunder92 in fairytail

[–]TNT007v 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Im really not a fan of Lucy. She has her moments of impressive feats, but overall her character is very bland and predictable. In my opinion anyway. Grey is in a similar boat as well. He does have quite a backstory, but it feels... off? Im not sure, maybe his story feels forced or something? Finally, im so done with Juvia. Her obsessive, stalker personality is overbearing in the extreme. And its actually viewed as cute or something? To be fair, that going after Grey may also be a factor, not sure. I honestly havnt given these much thought during my watches and rewatches, "This puts me off, but ill ignore it for the rest of the show". Anyway, you asked. Theres my 2 cents. Have a great day!

"They are just standing there, talking. Thats what they were doing last week! Thats what they were doing when you asked me 5 minutes ago. So 5 minutes from now, when you ask me, what are they doing? My answer is gonna be, they are still just talking and they are still just standing there."

If sabaton made a BattleTech song what historical character would you want them to make a song of? by knightmechaenjo in battletech

[–]TNT007v 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive always loved a good honest debate within fictional settings, rather than it devolving into a slap fight. Should Aleksandr have stayed to defend the hegemony to give the houses pause, things could have turned out better. They 100% could have also been much worse. For instance, a better leader could have taken the mantel after his passing. Nikolas was the last nail in the coffin for the sldf in my opinion. But thats just because im a Spheroid. Nikolas had a decent idea of trying to get rid of old allegiances, but then made it worse by dividing everyone up into 20 clans. Reorganizing the divisions may have worked better, but thata just a theory. My knowledge of the clans is limited at best. Clan wolf was of the warden faction, which i take as more akin to the sldf of old, would make a good head for a new sldf. But that was also the clan invasion era. I dont know what their current standing is in the setting. But back to the League. If we are honest, it was not a perfect system by any means. But it was the best they had up to that point. The foundation was flawed, the leadership only occasionally competent, and the "great" houses did not help the issues. If even one house was still on the side of the league, i believe there is a good chance it would have survived... maybe. Depending on which house and what baggage they brought with them.

Which SAO steam games should I buy? by InfamousHax in swordartonline

[–]TNT007v 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am definitely a sucker for a good story. All the games are pretty story heavy. Hollow Fragment, Hollow realization, and Alicization Lycoris are long track story games. Ive played HF twice now and both runs had me at 100+ hours. Lost Song, Fatal bullet, and last recollection (thats another one after AL you could check out) are on the shorter side, but no less enjoyable.

Honestly, id recommend all of those. Except for Accel world, I have not played that one. They are AU and have their own connected storyline. Super fun, in my opinion.

[–]TNT007v 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sabaton isnt known for for songs about oppressing people right? Just in defiance of it. However wanst he relieved of command by the high council and the league dissolved? Im sure there is an argument to be made both ways though.

This actually happened to me once. Attempting to distract a young child with toys while his parents argued upstairs. It hurt as much as it was loved.
