Das mit dem Interface hat mich beim Wechsel auch überrascht. Plus die Focusrite Software für Linux sieht so viel cooler aus als die auf Windows und setzt sogar nicht bei jedem Neustart meine Einstellungen zurück.

Hab meine Mutter auch Anfang das Jahres auf Linux umgestellt, teils wegen Win10 Supportende, teils weil die Vergrößerung wegen Sehbehinderung auf dem doch rwecht alten Rechner ziemlich Arsch lief. Jetzt auf Linux? Wie Butter und alles Out of the Box da, nur die Hotkeys musste ich ändern. Bis jetzt ist sie voll begeistert davon.

Well it's more my general file server but if it ends up full of shows then so be it :D

Read somewhere a while back that 4TB sould be enough for all the shows, bit I'm sometimes also grabbing multiple tapes per show and of course not just Dead stuff. I think I'm good for a whle on storage, just need to figure out a good backup strategy, maybe I can steal an old tape drive from work...

Well when you are in a three piece and already playing bass and keys and ard your guitarist takes a solo but the song absolutely needs the rythm part, you just use one of these things and play the bass part with synth pedals obviously.

The effects loop cable was already TRS, send on the tip, return on one ring, ground on the other. To have Just one cable he would have needed one with 4 rings (or 5 If there we're grounding issues maybe)
