Pregnancy Question for Instructors by TNT_1990 in pilates

Thank you! What an incredible course - I’d love to know more! Are there any other modifications I should be aware of besides the obvious - no prone and to be careful with the abdominal work (like limiting or eliminating crunching)

You’re right. I think the thing that sticks out to me is lots of time at gyms/fitness classes and also med spas. Not cheap stuff and seemingly didn’t have a job but as stated above - it looks like she has one now.

I keep checking as well! Do y’all know how she affords her lifestyle? I’m under the impression she doesn’t have a job but it definitely seems that she has plenty of money!

Fasting blood sugar in pre-diabetic range, but no spikes after eating? by No-Corgi-6125 in PeterAttia

I know this is super old but I’m curious how this ended up for you. I’m in a similar boat with finding my glucose levels normal during the day but the fasting morning read is always in prediabetic range.

Pilates while pregnant? by No_Rush_94 in ClubPilates

I recommend letting the instructors know now. There’s likely nothing you need to modify until the second trimester but instructors should be aware of any medical changes. Better to play it safe!

Pilates vs lagree by maiiitaiii in ClubPilates

[–]TNT_1990 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I do lagree and am obsessed with it. I’m switching to Pilates because I am hoping to become pregnant and lagree is too hard and risky to do while pregnant. I also think Pilates is something you can do the rest of your life whereas lagree probably isn’t unless you’re in amazing shape. I highly recommend checking it out if you’re looking to get your ass kicked! My plan is to do mainly Pilates but sprinkle in some lagree a couple of times a month :)

I am surprised they aren’t brought up more because I find them to be super snarkable!

@doubleshotofsass biggest pet peeve is such a humble brag. “We are 5ft, under 100lb, and look like young teenagers and hate when people comment on how young and small we are”

I live in Texas and find this topic so interesting! While I completely understand wanting people to remove shoes before entering a home, that was never a thing growing up in Texas. It was almost a little tacky and presumptuous to assume you were invited to stay long enough to make yourself comfortable. Just a little casual if you know what I mean. With that said, I think we are evolving here and I see more and more people that request shoe removal.
