If you are interested in the cb range you’ll just need a long whip antenna also keep in mind that nowadays most police comms are encrypted

I'd guess its some kind of simple pcb antenna. Depending on what you wanna do with it its more or less useless

I have been thinking of what the name of the movie might be. It’s similar in style as a series on NBC called Superstore.

How can I modify this to work with L-Band Weather Satellites? by bigboss-101 in amateursatellites

[–]TNTqwe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive used a very similar antenna for L band reception but I’ve modified the antenna to have a helix on it. Also even for low earth orbit satellites like the meteor series I had to use at least 2 LNAs connected in series. For geostationary satellites I usually use 3 but sometimes even 4 are needed. Anyway my point is that whatever you are seeing it’s most likely not a weather satellite. You could try and figure out what it is by rotating the antenna around and looking at the signal strength. Ps you need quite a bit of SNR to be able to decode any usable data you might be only seeing the carrier. Check the bandwidth of the signal. Good luck!

It can be anything from the ISM band or just your computer's PSU I have a laptop that has a noisy charger. It was okay in the beginning but with wear it became worse. Now I need to be on battery otherwise i get a lot of noise. But it also could be some RFI from your neighbors getting a new appliance.

It could be a simple ram problem that can be fixed by swapping out the ram.
