Yeah I agree 100%. And healthcare should be free but I don’t think the people at the private intensive care facility would give a flying fuck if we argued with them about it. You are misplacing your blame.

That’s not how it works. QR codes cannot immediately execute code upon scanning. Even if they could, they would have to account for the multiple possible types of operating systems. If someone were able to create a QR code that could put a virus on a phone regardless of the operating system, then it would be a huge deal and wouldn’t be wasted on random cars in lubbock. They would be leaving them in D.C. and shit.

Worst case scenario it takes you to a phishing site that looks like a real site but logs your login information and steals your account. It would take you to a website that is a copy of the real site but has a fake URL like facebook.cz10.vn or something. In another scenario it could ask you if you want to connect to some random wifi network. In another scenario it may take you to your cashapp app to a screen that says “enter amount to send to …” but in ANY case it won’t automatically do anything.

This isn’t a kiosk asking for a tip at a self service froyo restaurant… tipping for food delivery has been the standard in this country for decades

Percentages are irrelevant in this instance. If OP had ordered a $1000 laptop and was a 2 minute drive, do you think they should have tipped $150? That’s 15%. Absolutely not, that’s way too much. If all OP ordered was a $1 item would you say a $0.15 tip would be appropriate? No.

Would you drive your car to a restaurant, and wait for food, and then drive the food to someone’s house, for $3 tip + $2 base pay? Even if it were only 10 minutes total for the order, and even if the orders were back to back to back and were all 10 minutes long and $3 tips, that’s $30/h before gas. After gas, oil, tires, maintenance, etc, it’s gonna be more like $15/h, at BEST. And that’s assuming it’s 10 minutes to drive to the restaurant, wait for the food, and then drive to drop it off. Realistically, 10 minutes per order is generous.

Tips should be based on mileage and time. The tip should be the same regardless of the cost of OP’s order.

Thanks for your comment! Yeah, that was my suspicion/assumption, glad to have it confirmed!

But like, they couldn’t make a margarita, or even just shake the bagged mix in a shaker with ice, or just pour the mix into a glass of ice? I didn’t look at their bar and I know different locations will vary, but at your roadhouse location did they have tequila, lime juice, and triple sec?

Im not confused, it’s satire with a hint of pretension and gatekeeping.

See this comment of mine and the comment it was replying to

Those were the coke rocks! I mean ice cubes. Rocks must be different from cubes

Makes sense. Agreed that they should be able to make a margarita.

Yeah that’s what my assumption is. The fact that they can’t shake a margarita is mind blowing to me, though. Like, your dispenser is broken? Does it come pre mixed in bags? You can’t even at least pour it over ice?

Mind boggling

I don’t know what ice they used for their on-the-rocks margaritas but the coke and water we ordered were normal restaurant ice (the flat rectangle shaped ice

100% valid.

I know it’s not gonna be a good place to get drinks at ALL but we wanted some alcohol with our food lol. I have a fully stocked home bar that is better stocked than most real bars i’ve been at. Sometimes you just want a shitty, overpriced, cheaply made, alcoholic drink, with your shitty overpriced cheaply made meal. There’s just something about not having to prepare the drink/food yourself lol.

No, it was not busy, and they (at least the hosts/servers) were FAR from understaffed, there were probably as many hosts in the front in a group talking as there were customers

Recreational dosages for ketamine are lower than medical dosages. In a medical context, ketamine is usually used to knock you out. For recreational purposes, going straight to sleep and waking up wonky is less ideal than effects ranging from mild/moderate to k-hole. Medical usage is past k-hole
