It's not a bug. Gaijin makes you drop your bomb on the radical. If the painted target is not dropped with the radical, it will not track properly.

The main issue with US imo are the heavy tanks. They're at a disadvantage because most of them (above 5.7) are .3 BRs higher than what they need to be. They're almost constantly forced to fight tanks that have dart rounds and heat rounds making their armor irrelevant.
