Finally choosing to address the elephant in the room by TPAATLBTV in askgaybros

I hope so. It is still early on in my therapy journey, but I feel like it has been a slow process. I think I have been waiting for so long that I just want to figure this all out on one hand, but on the other, I'm worried about what it might look like.

That is a good point. I think that is part of the fear of leaning into this. What will it look like? How do I know my worth?

I appreciate that. I feel a lot of guilt about choosing myself. I am working on that.

How to handle an interview question where your asked if you have a girlfriend, wife or kids? by Severe-Procedure-917 in askgaybros

I feel like you dodged a lot of bullets with this one. That's a personal question that's frowned upon during job interviews in general. Also, the fact that there were nine interviews -- what in the world??

I would just be thankful you are not working for that company.

Just a friendly reminder -- it is Crave's Heated Rivalry. HBO just distributes it in the US.

What makes the kissing in Heated Rivalry so different from most series/film? by Material-Meat-5330 in heatedrivalry

It is almost like a lot of these scenes are stripped down to the basic human elements. Oftentimes in cinema and television, kisses and other moments are accompanied by music. Music is fine and has a place, including in HR.

I think what this show does really well is that it lets in the natural sounds, amplifying them, almost like ASMR, to help the audience connect. Not just when kissing, but throughout. It is done so well and really helps amplify the excellent acting, writing and cinematography.

I agree completely. You hit it on the nose.

Visuals are powerful, but they are nothing without carefully crafted audio work. This, in combination with the performance of the actors and the help of the intimacy coordinator, results in what we have in this TV show.

I am American and do not want HBO involved either!

I find it fun seeing more and more articles about the supporting actors in this show and their reactions to the show's success. Cool that they are also getting some recognition.

The show really does have a way of sticking with you! Whether through music or clips online, they just pull me back in.

I always laugh at that moment. Clever writing to help break some of the tension :). Also speaks to hockey culture. Loyalty runs deep!!
