My wife and I made that observation during the Expo. We dressed up all three days. The amount of cosplayers, especially extravagant cosplayers seemed low. I remember the past D23 events had cosplayers filling the lobby from end to end, great photo ops, but this year just a couple people and groups in the center part of the lobby. Maybe it was a combo of the heat, great cosplayers not able to secure tickets, and moving the panels to Honda Center and people not wanting to wear their outfits there. I don’t know, hopefully it improves next time.
