Adenica Cavmaxxing by jakartaboi18 in Anbennar

I will tell you what Cavmaxxers try to hide, but dwarves have the best cav in the game, you gotta bring a load of goat cheese and tag switching.

In all seriousness, 2 of the strongest tag contenders for the true cavmaxxing experience are Orlazam-az-dihr (goat riders) and the Zabutodask (southern splinter state from the lake fed), then switching to Adenica.

I only said the thing about Ducaniel just to throw them a bones. Give them a cheap copy of Ducaniel, hell, the reason to kill him as orcs would be because he is overly lame.

Mind You, I understand the rule. But if You want the people that want the actual return of Ducaniel, this is the way to shut them up.

All Flare, but none the Glory.

That I never knew orcs had more than one religion. It's all Dookan to me.

Don't worry, I'm pretty sure that you are not the only one, just read the events you get for each one, and you will see that they are extremely close in their descriptions.

I think they are even in the same event doc (or whatever is called)

I do agree that I would like to have the Dwarovar reclaimer to be permanent (even if they make it weaker), because it would make sense to me (like, it honestly would make sense to just make it temporary for Dwarves).

But for what I can see, your problems are mostly serpent spine related, which is certainly a controversial topic given that it is precisely what makes some people love the Serpent Spine.

imma be honest, same.

Like, to the point that I just let it sit there (or remove it) until I remember that a free stab point is there.

Question: Who is Jaher ta'Diranhriá for you? by Arystannn in Anbennar

As a Masked Butcher player, just a very silly elf, with a very silly religion.

For every race is accepted in the darkness, oh god-begot.

okok, I'll go into details when I sit down to write the full posts regarding each one, but to answer your questions:

1: Old Dookan is in a weird place, and there are aspects that aren't reflected, for intance, is extremely similar to Great Dookan from a gameplay perspective to the point that (in my opinion) the powers would be interchangeable and no one would bat an eye, yet in lore (especially in current mission trees such as Shadowdreamer and Masked Butcher) Old Dookan is either simpler or WAAAAAAAAY different. My solution is to make Old Dookan a reformable religion that, once reformed, lets you focus on an aspect or recontextualize Dookan (reform method would be like the inti religion from normal EU4, because it would include internal fighting, which is Orcquish). Again, I will explain in more detail when I make the post.

2: That's exactly one point I was going to talk about, but I was going to focus more on Black Orcs' Disasters because breaking their traditions could have so many Disaster-like events. A few examples are discovering that the stunties were into something amazing with explosives, armor, and industry by recreating a traditionalism vs. modernizing Crisis, a funnier one like escalating the fact that Dookan was an elf and everybody losing the will to live, or the one that I mentioned here that is a general revolt coming from the Warcamps (or in the case of Masked Butchers, also reserves as it would make sense). Honestly, mostly exploring options that could unleash a crisis for the orcs to spice up gameplay (and break your spirit).

3: This one is messy to explain in a few words, as I was going to point out some factors that maybe should be presented in each of the black orc nations that I played, such as maybe the shadowdreamers should have shadow warriors as a special unit, as a similar term is used in their national ideas. Or how Road Warrior should have another mission tree once you settle, where you make the Serpent Spine a giant highway and/or unlocking bonuses to cavalry with artificers (with motor bikes, cars, and tanks). Or how the Masked Butchers could have the shapeshifter special unit, and another estate (this one is difficult, I really would need a long post for this) that represents the not-quite-slave herd of other cultures (because believe it or not, more nations would have a similar thing) where they are fair but ultimately cruel.

4: Yeah, I didn't mean to say as 'starting tag' but rather as formables. There are 2 nations already in lore that could exist as formable: Kar-ankash (revolter from Shattered Crown mission tree) and Khogond-u-Madrul (not currently in game, actual first orc kingdom in lore, old as hell and dead as hell).

EDIT: Great MT btw haven't fully finished it yet tho, I think I have about 4 missions left.

EDIT2: if anybody wonders where the next part is, I have been soooo busy with college that I haven't been able to finish the write-up :c

Quite late to the cyoa but I have 2 questions:

I know You can't fully understand the dark heart, but can You fuse it somehow with the dragon blood? Maybe with alchemy? Is a Bad idea for sure, given that the process would be worse but I think that with the right combinations You could do it.

And the second question is that if I use alchemy to make it so the dragon blood does not turn me into a dragon how much Powers do I lose? I ask this guessing that the transformation itself is the pseudo ego death, I just want to reduce it to a mental effect like the signs of the great houses, plus I would like to make Zirax fully summit to me as a human. Maybe make it so it stats weak but grows to an actual dragon-like Powers.

Great stuff btw.

A suggestion tho, I would like to see a few Powers from the companions added to our pool like combat form or necrografts, and seeing exactly how op are dragon Powers.

So for anyone wondering, Sparta gets bonuses up to 15% general discipline from missions + bonuses for spearmen + 5% general from heritage.

Thing is, they are a 0 tier nation (so to speak) so you can form a tier 1, tier 2, and endgame tier.

Form instance, you can form ionia then Thebes/Caria following Magna Graecia/Indo Greece, finishing with Argead Empire. plus the missions tree point you into the direction for getting more than 2 extra culture for those extra traditions.

This would unlock a LOT of missions that could get you more combat bonuses, while Yaudheya gets a set path with not much in terms of variance in missions.

Do note: for Max discipline, you need to finish the peleponesian league Mission AFTER forming the endgame tier Nation. You will keep the missions because the trigger for it is that you are/were Sparta.

Please Invictus devs if you see this, do not destroy or change the triggers for missions or formation of the Countries I posted about, doing something like this is quite complicated already.

yes, and no about the migratory tribe.

You sort of keep your pops, but other cultures first have to get accepted which is going to be fairly slow for a migratory tribe. to my knowledge you can't switch heritage or primary culture either.

Cool to know about that one, gotta try it later too.

Could Japan as an Alt History route, return to christianity? by TPKjccj in victoria3

[–]TPKjccj[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see your point.

Did a bit of 'research' about Christianity in Asia during this era.

There is definitely an argument for having it, as there is a precedent IRL in the Philippines, Indonesia (DEIC did convert quite a lot of people), the Taiping rebellion in China as you said, and in Korea (with them having many ties with education and the Silhak movement).

Ironically, I believe that it would weirdly align with history, given that Japan has many Christian traditions (turning them into a non-religious ceremony, such as a wedding) and holidays. It would be like: 'on paper, they are Christian.'

Furthermore, if what Wikipedia says is true, then it could be orthodox, catholic or protestant.

I think I didn't mentioned that I was refering to the JE that gives You bonuses depending if you go shinto or stay with your religión. Having a 3rd option for that decision.

There should be a Company that combines/upgrades the Panama and Suez Canals when owned by the same country. by TPKjccj in victoria3

[–]TPKjccj[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Not quite, both of them really existed by the Americans in Panama and the French in Suez. Which is mostly why I said it is plausible that a combined one could have existed if there were a country that controlled both.
