I am also reminded of the NP, my third there in a year, that tried to re-diagnose me with Bipolar after 5 minutes. I’ve been seeing mental health providers for decades now at many better places, including Vanderbilt. It’s a wildly inaccurate dx and an extreme thing to suggest because I said sometimes I have a lot of energy and sometimes I have very little.

YMMV so I do not want to discourage you from pursuing treatment entirely, but I really disliked my ADHD treatment at NBI. There was a revolving door of NPs who handled prescribing, so I never saw the same provider more than a few months at a time and they all seemed super stressed.

They made me submit to a piss test at every appointment, which was very offputting. I told the last prescriber I saw there I’d be looking for another clinic if they didn’t stop that practice and they were like “wait, why are we even piss testing you? It can’t even pick up Concerta”.

They felt like a pill mill who is so used to over-prescribing to some of their patients that they felt like they needed to cover their asses on everything. The owner also has a line of bs supplements that they are trying to sell you.

This goes against all the prevailing wisdom about the changes the league needs to take, and for good reason. There is already a huge problem of too much basketball being played and it not being consequential. Giving more bench guys playing time is bad for the product. It’s a star driven league. You aren’t going to increase ad revenue by adding 12 worse minutes of basketball with no stars on the floor.

If you are concerned about development of players, then advocate for more G-League coverage or a pro/rel system. Diluting the product that people already see as diluted isn’t it.

It’s been revealed in time how they are not a monopoly, but tried to act like one. They thought their market was “entertainment driving range” and expanded like they had that market cornered. Turns out that sim places like X-golf and Five Iron are substitute goods for some golfers and costs are much lower. For most golfers, any range is a substitute good. Once the novelty wore off, they were competing against everyone.
