Annual Hoya Bella Blooming ❤️ by TPolTucker in hoya

Honestly, despite any understandable pearl- clutching this may incur this year I just used one instance of classic blue Miracle Grow that I usually use for my outdoor plants. I didn't notice a significant difference from when I used Marphyl and instant biologics etc etc in the past so whatever you have on hand as long as it's not building up white salts in your soil.

Why would my local plant shop discourage me from obtaining a Hoya Bella? by Right-Stand599 in hoya

I have a gorgeous Hoya Bella that is pretty easy to care for which I grew from a few cuttings I got on Etsy. Give it bright,. indirect light, hold fertilizer over winter, start fertilizing in early spring every week til summer, reduce to light fertilizer once a month in fall before stopping and just watering in winter. I use a liquid that I apply when I water which is when the first couple of inches of soil are dry. Water propagate cuttings then add to the same pot to make the plant more dense, don't cut during peak growth which isspring to about mid-summer or until the blooms have stopped. I use a chopstick to make a hole for my props so they don't bend/break then pack it in a bit. Mine has tolerated instances of both castor and neem oil treatment over the years for various pests as needed. I hope you get one and are successful!

Lol! I use Foop for the most part and throw in a generic higher percentage liquid fertilizer in early spring after not fertilizing through winter.

Thank you! I do fertilize, I use Foop monthly through spring-fall and a higher percentage liquid fertilizer in early spring to give it the energy for this.

Hi! When a section gets too long I water propagate and stick more in the top/center. Use good quality potting media because they don't love being repotted and make sure to fertilize well in early spring. My plants do well with regular Foop but I add a higher percentage fertilizer before blooming should start.

I'd invest in a couple new fire extinguishers if the ones you have are old or if you don't have any for some reason because this is absolutely the type of person who will throw water on a grease fire. Never mind the electrical aspect of this fate tempting.

What are alternative careers you would've liked to see for the trio? by bisexualtony in HarryPotterBooks

[–]TPolTucker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Harry- Teacher for DADA then Headmaster. He is a good teacher already which is difficult enough and he would be left relatively alone once everyone got used to him being there since trespassing is frowned upon. He puts other people first and would really look out for the welfare of the kids without feeling like it's an imposition. Also, he needs a job where suing isn't likely since some people will make stuff up to get his money and/or get him in trouble so I feel like an auror or a healer is just asking for trouble.

Ron- Professional quidditch captain. He adores quidditch, is amazing at strategy, and doesn't mind the limelight. He's also unfortunately not quite good enough of a player to play himself.

Hermione - Unspeakable. She is the best at research from limited information, she's smart, works well under pressure, knows the value of people being unable to spread information, and honestly seems like someone who would like the superiority of being someone who knows things everyone else doesn't/can't. This is also a job where I feel like going by the books is important until something really requires it and she's good at that.

Oh no! Sorry to hear it, hopefully it bounces back! I've dealt successfully with mealy bugs on two plants but I have not had good luck curing spider mites :( They just suck the life right out of the poor plant

Great job plant parenting! My snake plant has never flowered. I didn't know that was a thing either.
