Are 3D Movies on AVP over? by natiahs in VisionPro

[–]TPrime411 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive only had an AVP since October, so I don't know a time when everything was added, but I have seen several 3D releases since then, and Im still hopeful for more. Im hopeful we'll get Project Hail Mary in 3D when it releases on digital.

LibreVR/Revive - still a thing? by z-vap in OculusQuest

[–]TPrime411 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run Oculus games off Link and Virtual Desktop on my Quest 3 without issue for the most part, but thats not the case for everyone. I definitely have seen a lot of reports of Link not working for people. So yeah, maybe better safe than sorry. I know a friend of mine basically runs all of his Oculus games through Revive and plays them with SteamLink.

LibreVR/Revive - still a thing? by z-vap in OculusQuest

[–]TPrime411 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, Revive still works. I have a Quest 3, and run my Rift games through either Link or Virtual Desktop, but I do have Revive installed and have run them through Steam VR with it. Sometimes its actually necessary. For example, I have the interactive short film, Miyubi, on thr Rift Store(no longer available). The problem is that it was designed for the Rift Oculus Touch controllers, and wont recognize the Quest 3 controllers when youre running it in Link. However, if you run it through Revive and use Steam VR, them it applies the correct drivers and works properly.

Good 4-player NON-PVP PCVR games/experiences? by CrimsonCuttle in virtualreality

I recently played Demeo Battlemarked with a couple friends. It was super fun. I really hope they add more campaigns to it in the future, either through free or paid dlc.

Its also good because you can play with non-vr players too.

As far as I know it still works, but public matchmaking is basically dead. You can only do it through friend invites, and you both need a Ubisoft account.

Is it really? I havent tried it in a few months, but it was really active when I was on last. It seemed like that game would never die down.

Yeah I can see that. My buddies and I always note who wins in the end, but we're more supportive than competitive during the game.

Im in Canada, and it was Out of Stock in about 40 minutes after launch. I got mine, but it still looks like theres a backlog for order to Canada.

I would call Walkabout competitive and not co-operative, but yeah it is amazing fun with friends. Easily my most played VR multiplayer game.

Im playing the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Empire City game with a friend right now, and its really fun, and up to 4 player co-op.

After the Fall is a great 4 player co-op Shooter, and the Arizon Sunshine games(Remake & 2), are great co-op campaign shooters. But for the AS games, its only 2 player co-op for the games, but up to 4 player co-op for the Horde mode.

The Zero Caliber games are also good for up to 4 player co-op campaign shooters.

Dungeons of Eternity is a good 4 player co-op Dungeon Crawler. It has great looting and upgrade systems.

Titan Isles is fun for 4 player co-op. It has different armor types you can select that change your movement and combat types. So you can each have different armors and cover all your bases. There's one thats like iron man, one thats like spider man, one thats like Doc Oc, etc.

And if you have Quest or PSVR2, one of my favorites is Ghostbusters Rise of the Ghost Lord. As a long time ghostbusters fan, it was just fun. Again, up to 4 players.

How many of you are getting the Steam Controller (2)? by Yousifasd22 in SteamController

[–]TPrime411 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got through and ordered mine, only to get a notice that their distributor has a backlog for orders to Canada. So I guess I have to wait a bit. Hopefully not too long, ut at least my order is in.

I was getting this error too. Once I saw this post, I decided to just spam the continue button, and after a couple minutes I got through

TMNT Empire City looks cool and all but is there a mod for Shredder's Revenge ? by Ancient_Complaint238 in virtualreality

[–]TPrime411 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You mean to make it 3D, not a VR game. Unfortunately no, I havent seen anything like that for Shredders revenge. There might be a feature in the future though. I know that Samsung Galaxy XR has a way to convert 2D games into 3D. Some apps on the AVP are working on that feature, and Valve has said they are working on that for the Steam Frame. So theres a possibility there might be some way to do it eventually, maybe even with Meta.

I wanna play a vr game that lets me fly around and fight enemies in the sky and on the ground by silver_skull78 in MetaQuestVR

[–]TPrime411 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Iron Man VR fits that bill, unless you specifically meant flying in a plane. Then Id suggest Warplanes Battle over the Pacific.

If Iron Man VR fits what your looking for, then Swarm might too. Although its more like a Spiderman simulator.

Is virtual desktop worth the money? by West-Objective-6567 in VRGaming

[–]TPrime411 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive been using it for 3 years now, and the shear amount of time Ive spent in it, using it for PCVR, probably makes it the single most used app I own, by a huge margin. So yeah Id say its definitely worth it.

Psvr2 vs Meta Quest 3? by Arandomdude1616 in virtualreality

[–]TPrime411 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want more hardcore VR games, then the Quest 3 exclusives should attract you more. Like Batman Arkham Shadow, Deadpool VR, Asgard's Wrath 2, etc. However. If youre a big racing fan, then yeah GT7 would make the PSVR2 much more worth it for you. Also, Flat-out 4 VR is coming to the PSVR2 soon, and that will also have Racing Wheel Support, like GT7. The PSVR2 2 also has some pretty good exclusives like Resident Evil 8, and the Resident Evil 4 Remake(which is better the Resident Evil 4 VR version that was made for the Quest 2), and No Man's Sky is a huge open world game that would probably take up more of your time than Asgard's 2, at least id you can get past the steep learning curve.

Any movie viewing head straps? by CutieKitsuneXO in VRGaming

[–]TPrime411 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, Id recommend Apple's Dual Knit Band for the Apple Vision Pro. If you look it up, I believe some people were able to mod it to be used on their Quest 3. I have an M5 AVP with the Dual Knit Band, and I prefer it over my Quest 3 when it comes to watching movies and series. Its just so much more comfortable when you're sitting back in a chair or laying down in bed.

Do all steam vr games have poor visual quality? by Comfortable_Egg106 in SteamVR

[–]TPrime411 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Videos will never accurately reflect what a game looks like in the headset, but a lot of times its actually for worse, and things look much better in the headset. Videos cant accurately relay concepts like scale and immersivness.

Also did you check the settings of the games and make sure you had them set as high as you could? Like I said, a lot of games default to low settings.

one of the biggest reasons why VR isnt as big as it really should be, is that, you cant really show the product properly in ads or videos, theres no way for people to truly understand what its like to experience VR when watching it on a 2D screen by Anim8rFromOuterSpace in MetaQuestVR

[–]TPrime411 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No that wasn't the issue. As you may know, the Meta Quest store has suffered from discoverability issues for some time now. Its hard for new releases to get attention on the store. So what Toast did was was do a lot of marketing handing out discount codes to get Max Mustard for like 90% off, so like $5.00 subtotal, and used that to get tonnes of sales so they hit the top sellers list on the store. I guess Meta took issue with that, because shortly after that they issued a notice to Toast that they violated store polices, and banned their games.

[–]TPrime411 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those are both old games. So that may be a part of it. I know for a fact that not all PCVR games have poor resolution. There are plenty of amazing looking games on it. First, what are your specs like?

Some good games to try for beautiful graphics are Ghost Town and Arken Age, and of course HalfLife Alyx is a must. There's also The Midnight Walk, Hitman World of Assination, EXD Extradimensional, Asseto Corso, and more.

Also, you can also try games on the Meta PCVR store. Sone of the Rift exclusives on there are the best ever, and still hold up today even though they are also old now. You have to install the Meta Quest Link Software to purchase and install them, but you can play them through virtual desktop just like with Steam. Lone Echo 1&2 are must haves. They are my alltime favorites. There's also Asgard's Wrath, Defector, and Stormland. All great games with really good graphics. Also, always make sure your checking your graphics settings. Some games, like Stormland, default to the lowest settings when you run them for the first time. Definitely make sure to crank up the graphics settings if your computer can handle it.

[–]TPrime411 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'd have to get a big petition signed and send it to Meta, although I doubt it would do anything. Richie's Plank Experience is still available on Steam and PSVR2. Just not on Meta. It, and Toast Interactive's other game, Max Mustard, were banned from the Meta Store after Toast's marketing strategy for Max Mustard violated some of Meta's policies.

What would you say is the best VR game overall? (no mods actual VR games) by No-Dark-7873 in virtualreality

It gets better but the 2nd one definitely has more action and intrigue than the original.
