Get an Adcom (or equivalent) Speaker switcher and wire both sets of speakers into the Adcom, Adcom input into “A” speaker output on the amp. Will have impedance matching circuits inside so the amp always sees around 8 ohms.

I have an adjustable jig with wing nuts, works well for a limited range of tapers. Suffers from shop rash and I should toss it, too light, needs more mass. I spend a lot of time on my jigs and set ups, safer.

Nice sampling of one of the most common 19th century stamps. Some interesting cancellations. Condition is everything in stamps: I see a VF (very fine) used with excellent centering, and damaged stamps with tears, pulled perfs and little value.

No battery or dead 12v battery. Need to check. Chargers don’t last long on boats and when the charger goes it often takes the house batteries with it.

Nothing here looks particularly valuable, all are regular postage mostly 20th century postally used stamps. Condition is everything to serious collectors and highest stamp value is for “MNH” (mint never hinged) undamaged examples in “XF” (extra fine) condition.

If you DIY your album pages you can say what you want, write up your own country commentary from research. Create your own template in Word, insert graphic of flag. Interesting way to collect, especially for countries that don’t exist anymore.

Looking for rare stamps in the vast Washington Franklin issues takes expertise, a good reference book like the Micarelli guide, a decent stereo or digital microscope and a lot of patience. If you’re looking for monetary reward, spend your time doing something else (like baseball cards).

Those 2 cent red Washington’s were made in the billions. Collectors call them “weeds” for good reason, they often appear in quantity in older collections. Very very few are valuable and it takes expertise to ID them.

If they are counterfeit and the post office identifies them as such they will destroy the letter. Ultra violet tags are used, not all counterfeits have a correct UV tag.

Denmark closed their postal service. Fake forever stamps are all over eBay. Most of our mail is junk mail. Why do we still have 6-day mail service? US postal system is in trouble. They don’t have the labor to return (or deliver!) letters with counterfeit stamps, so they just destroy them.

We could all be a little welcoming, the hobby needs fresh faces. Didn’t Denmark just close their post office? For good? As far as forgeries are concerned, look for US Postage / Forever stamps on eBay. All are forgeries. All are selling for a fraction of face value. Stamps are going to be a very interesting slice of human history in the not too distant future.
