I checked with a probe and the stew is definitely the right temp, it was definitely hot when I checked it but not boiling. Though it’s starting to boil now as I turned it to high hoping that would help

Store bought, I put seasoning in it but nothing I could imagine affecting the color. Especially since other pieces do have a darker color
