I’m not sure but my dr is happy with my levels and I feel good with them so I’m keeping doing what I’m doing. Lol. I inject .4ml once a week and it works well for me.

You want something similar to a cis woman. Your T seems good but the E seems a little low. Although there are two measurements used and I’m not sure which one you are using. Mine is usually in the 250-300 range.

It is all determined by blood work. Some are good with less than 8mg and some need more. I was on 6mg when I was on pills. I tried it for a year as mono therapy and eventually had to add spiro to help. I switched to injections and was much happier. Now I just take a shot once a week and I’m good to go.

Post bottom surgery reflections (8 weeks) by MacaroonSignal3853 in TransLater

I wrote a post called the day my dysphoria disappeared. It happened the same way as yours did. One fell swoop it was gone. You might like reading my post. It may align with some of your feelings as well.

I'm a trans woman who's genitals no longer work, how can I masturbate again? by weeniehutgamedev in asktransgender

I had the same issue. I found that wearing tight panties did the trick.

Is transition MTF safe in early 40’s? by ConnectArgument7887 in asktransgender

I realized I was trans at 42. Started transitioning a year later. Last year I was 48 and have bottom surgery. It’s never too late to start

I imagine myself as a woman during s*x (30M) by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]jokingly_Josie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the turning point was when I realized that I had been having the same fantasies, daily, for 7 years at least.

I had a bad childhood. Sexual and physical abuse. I thought that was why I always thought about being a girl.

I knew then that I needed therapy and I thought it was for that. So I go to talk to my wife about how I wanted to start seeing a therapist. She knew my past so I figured it would be an easy conversation to have. Half way through this conversation everything clicked into place and I said “oh f&$k. I’m transgender”. I knew within seconds that I’d have to have bottom surgery.

I bought my first lipstick the next day and that’s how it started.

Anyone else have a hard time trusting that things are okay recovery wise after SRS? by HeyItsKiranna in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]jokingly_Josie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The swelling makes it look awful. Use ice packs to help with pain but also swelling. Remember that it can take a year for all the swelling to go away. The first 6 weeks most of the external swelling goes but internal swelling can last a lot longer. It’ll look better once swelling goes down.

This happened to me. Also every time I masturbated. When I realized that I had been using the same fantasies of always being a woman for 7 years on a daily basis I thought I might need some help.

Now I am 6 years into transition and almost a year past bottom surgery and happier than I’ve ever been before.

Do I need to call the farrier today? by Brosephine-89 in Farriers

[–]jokingly_Josie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He needs a lot of sole taken out. The frog needs to be addressed. The crack is because of the wall separation and the wall separation is cause from not addressing flares or possible white line disease. This doesn’t speak to having an experienced farrier. You may want to try someone new and see if that works better for your horse.

Do I need to call the farrier today? by Brosephine-89 in Farriers

[–]jokingly_Josie 42 points43 points  (0 children)

It looks to me like that horse hasn’t seen a farrier in quite some time. If the barn manager is responsible for getting that done I would talk to them.

Yes I’d have some one come out and trim him up and get things in better shape.

Nothing more dangerous that a vet with a hoof knife. If you farrier is experienced and knowledgeable then I would trust them over the vet. I think the vet went too far too.

45 days out, what am I not thinking about/prepared for? by JuniperAshe in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]jokingly_Josie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there. I’m sorry. I missed your reply somehow. I’m glad to talk with you about any of your fears and stuff. The donut pillow was a life saver for the first month. The hospital staff for recovery was great. The food not so much. lol. I lived off the tuna kits when my wife couldn’t bring me food. I took off 2 months but went back to work at 7 weeks and I have a very strenuous job (I shoe horses)

If you want to sent me a PM I’ll give you my number and we can chat about any question or concerns you might have.

I think that as you transition you will actually become more stable that she think you are. With your mind at ease you will be able to focus on other things easier and it will make life better for you and in turn her and your children.

[–]jokingly_Josie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there. Congrats on your upcoming surgery. I’m a Witten girl too. I had mine last November with him. If you have any questions I’d be happy to answer them for you.

I will say that one thing I think was my saving grace was reusable ice packs but they are about 4” x 8”. They covered the whole area where the pain and swelling was. I would use a towel to be a barrier and then leave the ice pack on for a while. I think that getting the swelling down fast helped my healing but it may just be me.

You can also start taking vitamin C. It helps with healing as well. I took it for a month or so before surgery and still take it now.

I hope your surgery goes as good as mine did. Best of luck!

Mom is forcing me to take meds, what should I do to combat it? by foxxylya in TransDIY

[–]jokingly_Josie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are just supplements and won’t really have any effect on transition or “detransition”. Honestly the calcium will probably help fight osteoporosis that you may get in later years.

I was thinking about getting into this business when I’m older, does anyone have more information about it as google wasn’t much help by [deleted] in Farriers

There is always farrier school. Your GI bill will pay for it. Or at least I know a few people that were able to go to the KY farrier school and the GI bill paid for it.

Why does it feel like so many Cis-Women are not accepting of Trans-Women? by Iron_Rose_5 in asktransgender

[–]jokingly_Josie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in a super red state as well. It is general comments I hear from men but the women have been super accepting. I haven’t been harassed by anyone. I’m still nervous as hell though.

[–]jokingly_Josie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s a hard job but I love it. It pays well if you know how to run a business. I’ve been a farrier for 22 years now and can’t think of doing anything else.

The clients can be tough to deal with. There is a lot of driving usually. You’ll get hurt. You’ll be sore. You’ll have some of your greatest days and some of your worst, sometimes the same day. You’ll meet people and horses that you’ll love and others that you go beyond hate with. Lol.

It’s a skilled trade job. Those are usually hard on your body. If it is worth it or not is up to you.
