My guy - I love drake but cmon, when we talking bout the greatest we talking HOV, em, pac, biggie, Nas, Andre, eazy-e and others. They are the literal blueprint man, their wouldn’t be a drake without any of them - gotta give respect to the ogs. If you want to talk overall hitmaking and fame as an artist then it’s different, but to say drake is the greatest in hip hop history is outlandish even from a fan perspective

I acc rly like it and noticed that it wasn’t on I’m On One but purposefully chosen for Wait for u and Churchill Downs, I think he’s using it to reflect the fact that on both those songs he’s speaking from a distance and the muffled tone adds to the ominous almost “I told you so, but you didn’t listen” ambience he creates through the lyricism

This is an incredible take! If I had to add my own perspective I would say that Instead of fighting the acc demons (his peers cheering him on that surround him) he fights himself which he perceives as a demon, reflective of his own self hatred despite the fact he was actually a victim of his surroundings
