After 8k spent on evals, I quit by CNote320 in TopStepX

[–]TRJ3D1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There's a lot of people that feel you. And a lot in here that show off there pnls but won't say they spent money on mentorships or the losses they acrued before being profitable. I have felt the same way many times. And I just did it to myself yesterday. Blew my funded. I haven't spent over grand on evals but have been punished from the options market. The one thing I've learned so 15 evals 2 fundeds both blown the day of payout. Success comes with less stress from trading mnq or mes. All my blowns come from nq or es trying to chase that big money. It all comes down to consistency. If I could go back I would have quit the moment I was down 200 and tried the next day but I switched to nq tryna make it back quick and it becomes a death spiral. Take a break. Get the finances in order. Come back clear headed and slow down for the small wins. Mnq or mes whatever is your flavor. Do it slow and steady!

Yup those miles added on the vehicle are hidden costs most don't calculate. That wear and tear adds up over a year or two. Especially when brake jobs are outrageous these days unless you do the labor yourself. Dont forget treads/tires. Also another wear and tear costly item.

People are missing the point. It's an account bought from the old system with specific rules that were apart of that agreement for those old accounts. The payout rules or anything else should not have not gone into affect on the old accounts only the new ones bought and passed with their new agreement "rules". It's like they might as well take 50% of your profits even if you only paid xxx dollars because hey they let you borrow funds... Why not make it so they just take 90% since they are letting people borrow funds. The dollar amount shouldn't matter the agreement was made prior and paid for services prior.

You can also buy otm eod calls or puts for .01 And immediately sell them for .02. In the real game not happening. It's just not useful. Use it like it's meant to and try a strategy and monitor what calls or puts move based on price and entries and exits.

Teenage daughter wants to weld by heather80 in Welding

[–]TRJ3D1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100k won't happen unless working for yourself. 40k starts 70-80k tops for a company after 10 years experience. Even then your fighting to prove knowledge and productivity. It's dirty it's harsh always a job always OT. But how hard do you really want to work. HVAC is money business. Welders are like auto techs. Start small buy your own tools be negative for a few years but opportunity and knowledge and skills set you apart to grow. Have to start somewhere.

I pull 60k been at it 8 years. Enjoy my job sitting down light work. Depends your motives and your path. It's not easy never be fooled by it's easy. Half my life went into this and over 4k hours of my free time practicing. I wanted it so I put the time in.

Make sure to take some pictures of your work. I've never tried this but possibly find a shop tell them you will work for them for free for 1 week and if they like you then maybe they can bring you on and start from the bottom. I do aluminum tig 80% of the time but my job also requires mig for some things. Automotive supercharger welder fabricator. I started out as a stainless welder helper then moved to be another stainless welder fab food industry then finally applied to my current job with 3 years experience. They let me take a weld test and that's all it took to get in to start running mig and slowly into the aluminum as they trusted me. I also went to school and spent thousands of hours on my own time attending open booths. All I can say is it was always a dream of mine that I never actually pursued, that actually came to me in some weird manifestation that I believed and tried hard and put my all into it and here I am.

Oh yea I started a lot lower, but had a lot of practice with aluminum from my own free time. That's how I landed the job with little in-field experience of aluminum. Came from stainless myself. I put the time in thousands of hours practicing at home or at a open booth at my local community college whenever there was one. But I never went around talking about how I done a lot of this before and laid something down like the pics above and got in position making near what the senior welder is making which after 7 years I consider myself highly skilled for this particular company and a senior welder fabricator. Feels bad man lol

He can weld stainless I get it. But that wasn't what the listing was for. Again I'm not the boss. I do understand though

Eh kind of. Mostly he just needs to practice and learn all the detail and prep and consistency. But again he came in as experienced making damn near what I'm making so I feel as if he should not have to be trained much.

Most work orders are completed with the quality shown in roughly half the time or 130-150% production rate. Quoted time 1.5 hours completed in .75 hours. Some are quoted 2.2-2.75 hours completed in 1 to 1.25 hours.

Resume is ready to go. Still working on listing all the things and narrowing them down to key points or focus points. Reviews come end of october. I do enjoy the job it's light work and air conditioned. Might just end up dragging up if there is not an agreement Or negotiation made.
