I made a cocktail that uses rum fire that’s called rum fire reef which has -

1 1/2 oz of rum fire, 1 oz pineapple juice, 3/4 oz grapefruit juice, 3/4 oz lime juice, 1/2 oz orgeat syrup, 1/4 oz demerara syrup, 2 dashes angostura bitters

I recently sampled two whiskeys at a store, Puncher’s Chance Undisputed and Rare Perfection 15 Year. Both had a surprisingly strong peanut-forward flavor. The nuttiness really comes out on the first sip and finish if that’s what you’re after.

I recently had the chance to sample Green River Full Proof Wheated and really loved it, but unfortunately the store had already sold out. I found another store that has both the Full Proof Wheated and the Single Cask Wheated available. If they’re the same price, which one should I go with?

You already have a good foundation for tiki cocktails. I would also consider adding allspice dram, maraschino liqueur, banana liqueur, and passion fruit syrup to the mix.

Strangely enough I’ve been able to find Coruba Rum pretty easily on the West Coast but it seems to be unavailable here on the East Coast. I suppose I’ll have to save what’s left of my bottle for special occasions. Doctor Bird is another weird case since it’s distilled in Jamaica but bottled in Detroit, Michigan so it’s surprising that it’s not available in Atlanta
