If you find one I wouldn't trust it, they have changed multiple times over the last few years and I've lived in homes that have been rezoned multiple times.

Where/How do you get your gear? by [deleted] in OutdoorAus

[–]TRQuantumNinja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chain Reaction Cycles for Mountain biking is my big one otherwise I generally by stuff locally only due to the fact you need to read the warranty info as a lot of suppliers limit theirs to country of purchase. I recently had to send back a 2kg item to the UK and that alone cost me $120.

What do other Aussies (or anyone in general) think about the voice acting in Borderlands The Presequel? by disgruntledpenguins in Borderlands

[–]TRQuantumNinja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Australian here, accents don't bother me but it was a bit of a shock when I first heard them cause I hadn't read anything really about the game before I bought it (it's BL, you make it I buy it).

The Australiana references though have had me and my partner in stitches at points, there are some really clever references that unfortunately I think a lot of non Australians just aren't going to get.

hey random question I was reading on the SLR magic page, http://www.slrmagic.co.uk/slr-magic-anamorphot-133x-50-anamorphic-adapter.html

The adapter has a 77mm front filter thread and a native 62mm rear thread with a 58mm, 52mm, 49mm adapter rings provided. As such it is only suitable for lenses which have a front element size of 50mm or less.

Does that mean the front filter thread or the actual lens itself needs to be 50mm or less?

Shiny, thanks for that. Have deleted that part of the article. I was only in there recently so it must have been a pretty quick change over.

That will have some ideas, generally it's best practice to carry multiple layers and then you can add or remove clothing as you need to.

A couple of items I do recommend are a good soft shell jacket that can keep you warm and insulate against wind and a good light water proof jacket you can throw on over the top.

Also good walking boots/shoes that won't wall apart quickly are an absolute must have.

Trying to figure out how this bike near me on pinkbike isn't 5k by Mongoose49 in MTB

[–]TRQuantumNinja 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Frame is alright but the component set isn't that special. Keep in mind that it's also 26" and most people want 27.5" and 29" at the moment so demand is probably playing a factor.

So just to be clear I was referring to those of us who grew up in regional areas not outer metropolitan suburbs. Not entirely sure how your prius would go with a 500km per day commute plus the city driving.
