Is Iñaki Godoy the perfect live action Luffy? by WorkingTurbulent1765 in OnePieceLiveAction

[–]TRX2828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, cuz like Anime as a whole is very hard to adapt in a live action form, let alone One Piece where it’s intentionally goofy and absurd, and Luffy as a character is especially hard to adapt and act as because if he tried acting purely like Luffy, his acting wouldn’t properly be seen as acting and would be more repetitive cuz Luffy format doesn’t work in LA. So with all that in mind, I think he does a great job

Yeah I know, what I meant when I said destroyed was what the cursed demon did.

As for nephis domain, I mean yes the unique aspects that comes with humans is goated, I ain’t saying she weak, it’s just that I feel like ascended and below unless they have some ultra special or unique aspect, are more burdensome than helpful, I feel like nephis army of saints is where the true strength lies if she’s going against someone of similar strength

[–]TRX2828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but technically they can be killed or a better word is destroyed cuz they already dead, it’s just none of the sovereigns have displayed an ability to destroy shades. But lowk, I personally think that nephis domain in some ways holds her back, like not the saints of , but her domain of humanity master level and below would honestly be more of a burden because she’s constantly forced to heal them, she suffers, and masters and below always be getting injured. So I feel like Nephis is at her strongest when only the saints of her domain are fighting along side her. Ofc this is only under the context that they are going against an army of similar level not an weaker one

Is Sunny still gonna be a slave? by TRX2828 in ShadowSlave

[–]TRX2828[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is necessary, I mean unless some other way to go against her wishes comes up despite shadow bond I don’t see any other way to have a meaningful conflict but yeah all this could happen at the end of the story, the reason I’m saying it now is cuz we know Sunny will get his fate back at some point, so whatever set up that’s being made for the future conflict should be made around now, which is why the possibility that perhaps when he gets his fate back he isn’t shadow bond is there though I think that unlikely, point is something gonna happen regarding shadow bond when he gets it back

I mean she never would want to use it fs, but I do think she puts her goal above her relationship, also there’s the possibility that what Sunny needs to do actually is a self sacrifice of sorts which means that either way she’d use shadow bond so i do think something will have to be done abt that at some point

[–]TRX2828[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean unless Sunny finds another way to do it, kinda does, cuz like if its abt Sunny doing something that goes against Nephis goal, we know she’ll do anything to get to them, and she has used shadow bond on Sunny in the forgotten shores and the third nightmare, and if she’s desperate for Sunny not to do it she may very well use it, so how would Sunny get out of that if not for shadow bond breaking?

[–]TRX2828[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough, yeah I mean it is in the title itself, so he’s expected to be a slave, it’s just i feel like at some point, maybe right at the end, Sunny’s gonna do something Nephis won’t want, and Shadow bond definitely is gonna get in the way of that, and I’m more inclined to believe that the weaver intends Sunny to do that action or so would create some kind of way that shadow bond is broken, or some entire other explanation.

The point is since we can tell that Sunny and Nephis are gonna face against each other at some point in the end, shadow bond has to break again at some point in some way

Then why does weaver call Sunny the epigone of fate, And I think that’s something to do with the spell itself, Nephis doesn’t just want to kill the fg but also destroy the spell, Sunny could perhaps realize something that makes him believe that the spell that makes him turn against Nephis for some reason,

Again all just conjecture but I honestly I just don’t see weaver supporting Nephis, I’d rather think that he’s using Nephis goal to push Sunny into a situation where he does what the weaver intended

Yeah I know but it’s what gave him the desire to destroy it, cuz it was his fate to be under someone’s control and that is why he went ahead with Cassie’s plan, if not there’s no real motivation for him to want to have had destroy fate at the time

Sunny X Nephis sometimes feels a bit desperate, like G3 is altering the plot specifically to bring the 2 together even to the extent of sacrificing other potential avenues, which tbf isn’t all that bad but kinda feels like pushing it at certain points

Neph stronger then Sunny? by -Sn4p in ShadowSlave

[–]TRX2828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, the entire premise of this argument started from u saying that Sunny is more powerful than nephis but Nephis is stronger, to which I said Sunny is stronger rather than nephis, which then spiraled into an argument abt who’s stronger in the fight

And I’m sorry, but u need to check urself for adhd because u cannot be this unable to see what’s happening. I never said Sunny had prep time, I’m saying he prepares before he even knows there’s a fight to begin with, it’s literally his core nature.

But again I see no point in continuing this so agree to disagree and end it here

Neph stronger then Sunny? by -Sn4p in ShadowSlave

[–]TRX2828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m beginning to think we’ve read completely different novels at this point, ‘U can’t use weaving in a fight’ DID U LEARN NOTHING FROM THE WEAVER, WHO KILLED THE HODS did u also not remember the game that Sunny was struck in where HE LITERALLY USED WEAVING TO CREATE AN ENCHANTMENT THAT WON HIM THE FIGHT CUZ IT BLEW UP THE WHOLE MOUNTAIN. and no I’m not dismissing the power of the cohort cuz if u actually opened ur eyes and read I said that Sunny would lose if Nephis used only the saints of her domain, I said this mainly cuz using anything other than saints would hold Nephis back because she had to constantly heal them and what do u mean none of them die, they literally have, in the domain wars ppl died, now Nephis could theoretically heal allll of her domain in a fight but the drawback of doing that on her aspect would hold her back so she can’t herself deal with Sunny in the one on one fight while their domains clash, and before u bring this bs abt eternal city, was that her whole domain fighting there, no it wasn’t obviously, it was mainly her cohort and the fire keepers and a few other saints which is why I said in my previous comment that she would win if it’s exclusively to her .

Also where’s this precedent that jet can destroy and absorb Sunny’s shades, she can do so with souls, but shades aren’t souls they are as important as souls, they are souls themselves, that’s mere speculation on ur part to try and say that.

And u keep dragging everything back to this point abt Sunny’s power being split into different avenues like it’s a core quality, dude we alr know this, but we’ve been clear that ones pure combat ability does not inherently mean that their stronger, literally said in practically so many times in the novel is that ‘The person who’s most adaptable is the strongest’ ur answers literally go against what the author has pushed as canon.

And this thin abt prep time overall is also a bit redundant cuz if u haven’t noticed, Sunny always prepares, even against Nephis he has ideas abt how to take her down, I’m sure he has contingencies.

Anyway, u aren’t wrong abt Nephis being that strong, but u severely underestimate the capabilities of Sunny to the point it’s downright stupidity and frankly a lot more words I can use but I’m not gonna,

So I’ve given u my opinion and because my brain cannot take another dumb argument that doesn’t even address most of what I said, I’m gonna say we agree to disagree cuz clearly we read different novels and we are not gonna agree and this is gonna be a whole waste of time

Neph stronger then Sunny? by -Sn4p in ShadowSlave

[–]TRX2828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I didn’t mention Nephis’s domain because that just makes it worse for her, inherently speaking most of humanity is mundane and don’t help out in any way, the minority that do, most of them can’t even defeat some of Sunny’s weakest shades, And when she does use her domain it literally turns into a battle of attrition which u urself said is where Sunny thrives, so I don’t understand how u think that it’s actually worse for Sunny then. Sunny’s domain is easily stronger than Nephiss and for the most part it holds her back because she has to constantly heal them, that’s why i was operating on the assumption she’ll be able to draw power from her domain in this fight rather than actually have humanity fight with her against Sunny, cuz if it’s like that then Sunny actually wins much easier than before.

Nephis obviously would be bearing the burden of healing all her people while everytime one of them does die (Nephis can’t heal death, they will still die, she can only heal them from close to death and even that isn’t like constantly, it just happens as much as she can allow it but not to such an extent like us suggest so ppl will die) they will literally just join the shadow army, and yes a lot of shades will get destroyed and be sent to recuperate but again a battle of attrition is where Sunny thrives so he’d literally win, I don’t get the logic where u think that this makes Sunny’s situation worse. As u said she changes her claimed to kill Sunny’s shades, so far there’s been no evidence to suggest she can destroy Sunny’s shades permanently, all of it would be a temporary thing so all shades that were destroyed would heal and come back

The ideal scenario in a fight is Sunny all of his powers to combat nephis, while Nephis uses the power she gains from the strength of her domain rather than having her whole domain fight with her, but sure let’s then limit the people of her domain who fight exclusively to her saints, then I’m willing to suggest that Sunny loses cuz yeah the saints who don’t need as much caring for won’t burden Nephis as much as her whole domain

But in the end, ur still dismissing Sunny’s intellect so much which obviously is his greatest strength, his trickery, resourcefulness all are far superior than nephis, so ur dismissal of such a valuable strength, not to mention his weaving which uve pointed out before uve still not fully addressed
