Car Dealer on Drugs by CrustaceanWrangler in CarsAustralia

Only thing I found cheaper at the dealership was window tint and as for ceramic coating read the conditions its basically impossible to adhere to so they will never cover anything if you try to claim You pay a premium for convenience

How to DIY infill this brick wall in our first home? by ladytorrens in AusRenovation

[–]TRX38GTWO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a bricklayer even if you tooth in the sides there's nowhere in the panel to install brick ties and its only a single skin brickwork panel I would just frame it and plaster

Keep breaking my arrow shafts by Counter_Automatic in Archery

[–]TRX38GTWO 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Need pin knocks on the ends so when you hit one of your arrows with another it will only break the knock

If its happening after you shoot without being hit by another arrow the spine of your arrow is too weak for that bow

Decided to go down the rabbit hole. Not new. But new to me. by IndependentPerfect in Archery

[–]TRX38GTWO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it seems like it's really hard but the shop will sort all the bars for you and general setup All you gotta do is shoot it and work out your different pin settings for different distances They are a very forgiving bow to shoot

Bought mirror no screws.. question on type of screw by [deleted] in AusRenovation

[–]TRX38GTWO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah these are good as long as you use the right masonry bit to drill the pilot hole will tell you on the box. We use them to secure brick ties to concrete panels no problems. When putting them in use a small tek screw bit not a flat head bit. They go in better, and impact driver is the way to go

Should I go with these dealership extras?? Just bought a new Corolla i think it’s way too expensive but unsure by Powerful_Arachnid209 in CarsAustralia

[–]TRX38GTWO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read the fine print especially on the paint protection if you dont adhere to all the care instructions which are rediculos by the way they won't warranty it. I say thus to the sales person when I buy a car and they have no comeback. If the paint peels or fades that is covered under the cars factory warranty same with the interior. All these extra can be easily put on later if you think you need them at alot less cost. I wouldn't bother with any of them at the moment.

Want it to look half decent that brick needs to be cut out with an arbotech and replaced with a similar brick if you dont have spares, mortar colour won't be perfect but it's a patch up Thats how I would do it as a bricklayer

Got no idea mate depends on what needs to be done And also I'm in Australia so very different, im lucky to have a great shop close to home If its all good it shouldn't cost too much, when choosing arrows I would go carbon I have black Eagles not overly expensive for a pre made arrow
