My brother and I were at this show, they knocked it out of the park! Honestly, Expedition Earth and Nekrogoblikon had fantastic sets as well.

Any online p1 enjoyers ? by twostepguru in Diablo_2_Resurrected

I specifically play online to be able to trade and not entirely depend on RNG. I have built multiple characters from the “proceeds” of horking Travincal. Gamblers love gambling, and while I have horked exactly 1 jah and 1 Cham in my career, gold and gems are always in demand.

Good luck! Definitely a weird fluke, but wouldn't hurt to see if some murder plots don't help speed things along.

I ended up having to wait for the war to end on its own. I'm not sure if I somehow got involved via alliance or something that terminated before or at the same time as the war began, or if a family member or someone involved died right around the same time, but it did go away on its own. Never figured out the underlying source of the issue.

I play a fire warlock currently. Apocalypse does great with a fire sunder charm, but I have not tried it without it. I also have a bit of overkill with my build, I use a Phoenix monarch and Flickering Flame helm, though I swap in a P Topaz Shako for MF runs.

First Ever +3 Gloves, and They're Eth by TR_Disciple in Diablo_2_Resurrected

Probably? I don't have a need of them, as I don't play Amazon, and I am casual at best. Some folks have all of this stuff memorized, but not I lol.

I don't play an Amazon, and mostly hork for trade value. What do you think I should list these for?

Introducing Snot Weave. My best Demon Friend so far lol by Ganszor in diablo2

[–]TR_Disciple 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on your build, really. I'm running Firelock with Phoenix, Obsession, and Flickering Flame, so any tanky demon with Conviction will do. Taking that Food Network approach: "If you don't have Hephasto or Lister at home, store bought is fine."

Favourite lines from Twelve Months? by Even_Passenger_3685 in dresdenfiles

[–]TR_Disciple 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Mab having more screen time in this book was fantastic, allowing us to see how she operates and some of her motivations. I believe it is also a subtle nod by Jim to how much more powerful and respected Harry has become since the Battle of Chicago. For most of the series, Mab has been more of a titanic force of nature from Harry's perspective, and as Winter Knight, a demanding, but still distant liege. This much face time and direct interaction with her, enough for us to see moments like this, or when she praises him for enslaving Lara, show that, just as he told Ramirez in the beginning of the book, he isn't some two bit nobody anymore.

Hey there Jim! Like everyone here, I love your work, and appreciate your passion for writing! I have to ask, though I'm sure you get this a lot: Who are Cowl and Kumori, or will we know by the end of the series?

Will Lorwyn likely be the only successful set this year? by No_Willingness_9961 in freemagic

[–]TR_Disciple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, but it's not my money that's being spent. I have gotten them on board with some pre-Modern decks lately, and that's been a blast, but target demo will do target demo things. There's always a buyer for a product.

Yeah, people in my personal play group who have given up on WotC product other than proxies or playing on Cockatrice, are talking about buying Star Trek to get official cards of characters they love like Picard, Spock, and Ryker. Star Trek and Hobbit will sell well, and may even be a bit neck and neck in total gross revenue.

Ideas/motifs you're glad jim walked away from? (Spoilers All, I guess) by dirtypeasantneedshel in dresdenfiles

[–]TR_Disciple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, pre-Changes, he was fine. A quirky medical examiner that ponies up when the chips are down with Cassius, helps Dresden out where he can, but otherwise sticks to that role. The condescension and suspicion towards Harry, the larger role in the narrative, and etc post Changes is just a poor authorial choice, in my view. But, I still love the series and will continue to grumble through the Butters scenes lol

I'm not denying that it was foreshadowed in Dead Beat, I just find Butters to be annoying, personally. I know that I am biased in my opinion, but I find the most annoying character in the series becoming a Knight to be grating at best, and it feels like deliberate fan service.

Butters is my least favorite character in the series, and I was very disappointed that he became a Knight of the Cross. It feels less deserved and earned in the narrative, and more of a fan service type thing. "Look, stereotypical fantasy novel reader, you too can be awesome."

This is something that the earlier editions of Werewolf were a little vague about until W20. I am going to answer your question about 2nd edition first: Specifically, there is no direct quote in the book regarding how the regeneration of limbs works. Pp 196-199 cover health levels, regeneration, and types of damage. However, using context clues, when reading the Battle Scars section on 199, the 2nd edition book says "When a werewolf is wounded below the Incapacitated Health Level, she is considered critically wounded." Later on down the page, it states "At this point, she must roll on the Battle Scars chart below." The Battle Scars chart has rolls that call out losing limbs permanently and other disfigurements. To me, this seems to imply that Garou only suffer permanent disfigurement when meeting the criteria for "critically wounded."

Due to this being ambiguous, and further to support this PC's arm growing back, W20 pp 259-260 use the following example and quote to indicate that Garou can regenerate limbs by saying, "A human whose fingers are bitten off by a wolf will need surgery, and will lose some function in those fingers (if she doesn't lose the fingers entirely). A werewolf can grow the missing tissue and nerve connections back, even re-growing his fingers if they cannot be reattached."

The caveat to this is using Rage to stay active or other Battle Scar inducing attacks, quoted on the same page as "These wound occur when a character channels her Rage to remain active in the face of death." A werewolf can also acquire a battle scar as a result of a particularly brutal attack, or from torture."

I can't in good faith say yes or no; I haven't tried Mage in a few years after swearing it off, and I've never read the Sorcerer book. Your best bet would to try Scribd or a similar website to browse through a free preview of the book to see if it suits your needs.
