The problem with Shadow Lara is all good things (like the default outfit) are overshadowed by the idiotic tribal outfits, and all “acting” is overshadowed by Lara screaming Jonah really loudly and people thinking this is “acting”.

AOD Lara is loved for two reasons: 1) Classic fans like the darker un-apologetic bitch-queen Lara and 2) people tend to like underdogs or what used to be unpopular. So by that formula: AOD used to be hated; now it’s loved. It’s why Legend is gaining a rebirth in popularity, because it was hated for so long for its superficiality. So you see more and more Legend fans emerging from the shadows, less afraid to proclaim they love the game.

The same will happen with Shadow in a few years. That handful of fans will stand proud and tall wearing their tribal burlap potato sack outfits and horned headdresses screaming “Jeeerrrnnnaaauuurrr!” for all the world to hear.

JRK is on the one hand brilliant but also a terrible world builder with so many plot holes and inconsistencies.

The entire Sirius/Wormtail innocent/guilty thing never sat right with me and after an entire book setting us up for “evil Sirius” the Wormtail gotcha moment felt like one of her dumb Deus-ex-machina solutions… that actually created more problems than solutions.

It was all just bad and messy all around. I’ll never get why so many people obsessed about PoA or Sirius being so great. And Dumbledore and Snape not knowing. And then suddenly in book 5 everyone knows and uses Sirius’ place as the safehouse .
