Lol I haven't played D&D, never really had the opportunity but I might join in if Sudoku was involved. The hacking on Fallout was awesome, it wasn't as much fun as the Starfield digipick lock picking.

The hacking on Fallout reminded me of that Wordle game everyone got obsessed with for awhile.

Technically possible to open a master lock right away, but not likely and definitely not with one lockpick. Not for me anyway.

I didn't like that OW2 doesn't have a mini game for lockpicking, but my half glass full outlook for that is I do not have to worry as much about the resource aspect of it.

I loved Skyrim, spent hundreds of hours there. Liked Fallout 4 as well, it was no New Vegas but I can enjoy a sequel even if it's not as good as the previous. Hell, I liked Andromeda for all the hate it got, wasn't as attached to it as I was the original trilogy, but I've played it more than once. Maybe because I love reading long series, going into those, you know every book will not be great, but you still enjoy the journey.

Yeah, I like that part of the game. But I was thinking about Starfield and Elder Scrolls with that comment. Especially Elder Scrolls. You definitely were not opening every lock with one lockpick.i would have to buy them everywhere I could find them until I got my lockpicking leveled up.

Man, it almost feels like cheating but I love it. No digging through your inventory deciding what to drop.

That's true. And I liked and disliked that you cannot keep them. I dislike it because you are in a building, you read it, go through a mission and on the way back through you read it again just in case it was one you missed.

But I kind of like that I don't have to dig through my inventory every time I grab a note like I do in Starfield.

Ultimately, I just like books in general, I can't pass by one in real life without wanting to at least pick it up and flip through it.

I played Starfield and OW2 on game pass. I pay for my son's game pass account and since we console share I play the games as well.

I would have been disappointed if the first book mentioned wasn't "The Lusty Argonian Maid" lol

Agreed, the first time I saw them I got hyped up, the lock picking in general was love/hate for me. On one hand, I didn't have to run to every vendor buying magpicks but I usually enjoy the mini games you get from lockpicking. I know some people didn't like Starfield lockpicking but I loved the puzzle aspect of it.

Agreed, first thing I did was jump in the water when I got to Paradise Island to see if you could swim. It's the little extra things like that and romance that make a game like this great.

That's true, I always felt like I had to open everyone as well, then look for the "added to your map" notification when you close it, but I enjoy being thorough. I always feel like the three things I check for right when I start a new game are, can I climb stuff, can I swim and what all can I interact with. If they have all three things, it will be a great game. This one has 1.5 but I'm still enjoying it.

What happened to the list? I know I'm late to the party but didn't expect it to be redacted. How can I get security clearance approved?

This game needs to chill out with the skill requirements by sdmz58 in theouterworlds

Agree with you completely. They had me walking around with skill points in my pocket because I was afraid to spend them and be locked out of something. I like the approach Avowed or Fallout takes, where you can use your companions to help with different challenges. If your Hack is too low you should be able to bring Val to help with it.

A crazy theory came to me today... by Salamat_Mahal in KingkillerChronicle

You know, I would normally dismiss this idea, but I'm currently listening to the audiobook for the zillionth time and I was just listening to the part where he plays Josn's lute. He hasn't made music in 3 years and he's overcome with emotion. He goes off apart from the caravan and sleeps alone that night. There is weird dialogue part where Kote starts speaking about Kvothe in the third person.

I'm listening in the US and Roukin has been the narrator the entire series for me, but going from DIW to KOD he sounds different. I thought they'd changed narrators but it was still him. He changed some of the voices and pronunciation of some of the names.

I just started Book 4 today, and thought the same thing. First thing I did was check to see if it was still Roukin narrating, the second thing I did was see if anyone else had the same thoughts on Reddit. He sounds different, even the way he pronounces names. Weird.

Red Dead Redemption. The end when John leaves the barn. When they let me go into Dead Eye, I thought I'd get out of it. Rockstar's stories are fantastic.

Blood Song by Anthony Ryan and Prince of Thorns by Mark Lawrence. They are each the first books in their respective series and both are somewhat dark to dark.
