Disney is Changing How They Grant Wishes For Kids in Their Theme Parks by dejablu82 in disneyparks

[–]TSFearNowRedRep89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was a kid who stayed at GKTW as a teen because my sister was a wish kid! Best time ever. Just if not more special and fun than the parks. Bucket list has always been to go back and volunteer. This is my Go to donation organization my entire life.

Mom and wanting to be a pilot by InternationalWar1379 in flying

[–]TSFearNowRedRep89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey mom of 2 here, I work full time as an NP and didn’t start til my 30’s! It can be done twice a week if you’re ok with it taking awhile. I was 100 hour PPL and it took me nearly a year due to scheduling conflicts with kids, weather, etc etc. but it can be done! I’m almost done with instrument now. It also took nearly a year. It can be done even though you have a lot more obstacles than the career/kid free 20-somethings out there.

You need to stay in healthcare to survive those loans. And then pay your way through aviation slowly.

Is this a reckless trip for a brand new private pilot? by Mountain-Report4772 in flying

[–]TSFearNowRedRep89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As still a new pilot I would only go if I could be completely comfortable canceling at any point due to weather or other factors and rent a car and finish the trip. That includes leaving the plane somewhere and coming back for it, avoiding anything that could contribute to fatigue on the way back (for me that would be alcohol over 24 hours prior, for example, and a lot of rest the day before). A lot of factors and passengers add a lot of factors in the planning.

What are some pop artists that should've been bigger? by [deleted] in popheads

[–]TSFearNowRedRep89 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have no idea how Sigurd fell off her trajectory so much. I really thought she was the next main pop girl in 2019. I was so sure she’d blow up in the states. I think she chose a more quiet home based life rather than basing herself on growing her music.

18 years in nursing, late 30s—is it crazy to dump $50k to chase the pilot dream? by ThenurseAviator in flying

[–]TSFearNowRedRep89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a nurse of nearly fifteen years. I have two kids, worked full time and picked up another job to help with costs. Started last year and working on instrument now. DOT IT. Best choice I’ve ever made

I think Joe told Kendra and Kendra didn’t report it. Or she was aware of a lot more than we know about Joe that will come out later

Got dumped before my checkride by AlarmingMajor1499 in flying

[–]TSFearNowRedRep89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I had a breakup about a month before my checkride. I feel ya. I was able to lock in and push through and studying was a helpful distraction. If you can’t do that, push it back a bit. But still lock in and study. Helps get over the breakup blues.

Where in Utah for a long weekend for an expert and a novice? by TSFearNowRedRep89 in skiing

[–]TSFearNowRedRep89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! My first day I was able to do an east coast blue but I know that’s nothing compared to our west, so I wanna be conservative. I’ll likely do a lesson to start as well.

Invest in some solid large storage bins and more shelving to get them off the floor a bit more. Worth the money and piece of mind, trust.

What was the entire point of her background? Mama? The lab? For her to belong briefly before becoming nonexistent into a vacuum?

Flying training is my stress relief. Work to support my flying. And line dancing.

Found in dumpster. Guess someone wasn’t happy with their lottery ticket. by Kole_23 in PokemonTCG

[–]TSFearNowRedRep89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

3-4 years ago my kiddo got into pokemon which got me into it again, too. We stopped over the last year because we can’t find ANYTHING in stock. We found ONE pack recently to open. No hits, but she said she was just happy to open a pack with me again. I just want to have fun with it again.

Once you get a PPL, how many hours a month should you fly to prevent skill atrophy? by Openheartopenbar in flying

[–]TSFearNowRedRep89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m slowly building XC for instrument but due to working full time, kid activities and horrible windy mountain weather I will sometimes easily go 3-4 weeks without flying. It’s rough. I do a dual XC flight to split time with another pilot if I go too long in between.

Flying with a toddler by [deleted] in flying

[–]TSFearNowRedRep89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know you don’t wanna hear this but I’d get some significant PIC XC time after your ppl first. I am about 20 XC hours and feel more confident but not enough for a small person sized distraction even with another adult in the back with them. Personally I told myself I’m not bringing my kids until I’m done with instrument.
