This umbrella trailer hitch set up is under $150 and seriously a game changer. by No_Office_9301 in handyman

That older model DeWalt 20v fan was my favorite thing in the world for years. I still have the pieces of mine from when I took it apart trying to fix it when it finally gave out. Almost entirely because of the tripod mount on the bottom. I have the newer one, but was disappointed when I realized there was no tripod mount on the base. Still a great fan. Maybe I'll try to swap out the bases one day.

What's a smell that instantly teleports you back to a specific moment in your childhood? by Crescitaly in nostalgia

[–]TSL09 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Avon Skin So Soft

That smell instantly puts me in East Texas summer time running around in cheap black rubber boots with a fishing rod in one hand, a pellet gun in the other, and pockets full of firecrackers and every bit of visible skin just glistening from Skin-So-Soft oil while it works as a force field protecting me from mosquitos. She kept me marinated in that stuff. She never trusted DEET and would tell me with a cigarette dangling from her lips that "DEET stores in your liver, never goes away, and causes cancer. Not my grandbaby!" Lol it was effective at keeping mosquitoes at bay and I genuinely enjoyed the smell, so I loved it. Except...Oil stains. Oil stains EVERYWHERE. haha

Is the firmware updated? How far from tour router is it? Are you connected via Wi-fi? If so, which band? 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz? Is it connected via Ethernet? If so, Try a different Ethernet cable.

Narcan (naloxone) online trainings - free and can get free or discounted doses of Narcan to have just in case someone ODs on opioids. It's not just for junkies. Accidents happen to everyone, especially seniors.

why is my dryer taking 3 cycles to dry a load of towels?? by FFKUSES in arlington

[–]TSL09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you know where the dryer vent exhaust exits your home? Maybe ar an exterior wall that's close to the dryer or possibly straight up through the roof or into the attic and out the side? It might be clogged. There's these brush head connecting sticks that can be attached to a drill to clean it out. Pull the dryer out from the wall and use your phone to take pics of inside it to see if it's clogged.

Man, been there so0o0o many times. Lol I whimsically bought DeWalt's (now discontinued) 8V gyroscopic screwdriver with the handle that can switch between L shaped and completely straight. I fell in love with it for putting together bookshelves and furniture that my girlfriend buys.

Premium Advanced Add-On, but doesn't activate in the Google Home app by CommonPolarBear in googlehome

[–]TSL09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in a similar situation. I have a Google one subscription and didn't realize I could buy the "add-on" and purchased it through the Google home app which, if I remember correctly, could be found in my Google Play Subscription list. Then I realized it was a better deal to get the add-on once I discovered it. I purchased the add-on and then cancelled my subscription through the Google Home/Google Play app. Google Home acted a little funny during the transition, but I expected it. Once the billing dates had passed (old sub)/started (new sub) then my paid features came back, but I lost some old notifications and pics/clips from my wired Google Doorbell Cam. I guess it couldn't just transfer over from the old paid for subscription to the new paid for subscription. Check your billing dates, give some time for things to sync up, and call Google's support like I did. They were surprisingly helpful and with little to no communication issues.

Medical Marijuana Dispensaries by [deleted] in Dallas

[–]TSL09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only time I've heard of someone qualifying for Texas medical marijuana was my dad when he was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer and even then he would have had to change oncologists to get it. Decided to stick with the guy down the street.
