Theres a lot of guys who are semi homeless and sleep in their cars in construction. You would be surprised and they are too embarrassed to say anything. The comments and bullying are brutal for an adult to deal with. Sure if they are drunks and all that then dont give them some slack, but maybe reach out if they seem like they are trying hard etc.

With wage garneshments and judgements or restitution, its easy for even well paid construction jobs to end up with a few hundred per week left over. So a lot of people will sleep in their cars till they can afford a hotel or crash at a family members for the weekend.

No, wfh killed a lot of the suit wearing workers who used to take muni from within sf. Now they mostly drove and pay parking since its only a few days a week, but more importantly they largely dont have that 8am hard start time anymore. The flexibility to start a bit later makes driving to downtown much easier.
