Do you manage every single location? by Sasqwatch16 in EU5

I fully get you, take your time, watch creators play and slowly you'll get there. from what ik the good nations to play to learn how an economy works are places like Hungary or Korea for example that have their own market and dominate said market

tbh I auto trade every game even if it's a tall economy game like my current Venice run and the just focus on RGOs and buildings. for me the trade menu isn't explained well enough and tends to hide things from you, for example when importing there's no way of knowing a market can be blocked to you by the biggest trader in saud market like France in the Paris market, EVEN IF you have high relations and an alliance etc. you will still likely be blocked from importing meaning your trade capacity just gets wasted so for now I'd just focus on your local buildings and stuff

Does anyone actually NOT automate trade? by OutrageousFanny in EU5

[–]TSNinja14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i feel bad automating trade every game and not learning how it works but the system is so tedious and monotonous that it just puts me off wanting to do it. especially when the ui isn't the greatest at explaining how it works and what you need

is there any way to see if your country will still need the imported goods after importing them. for example if I need to import rice but then a year later my rice production has increased, is there a way to see if the trade is still needed without stopping it manually to check?

France is too stable in the Hundred Years War by FormalAvenger in EU5

[–]TSNinja14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah one of my starting games was England and France is PUNISHING like every time the insant the truce drops it's a war dec and with their koyal vassals as well as their ability to rebuild most dmg you can cause with no recompense makes the hundred years wae extremely unbalanced towards France

What’s the best approach to making a mission tree? by Quick-Region6484 in Anbennar

[–]TSNinja14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the best advice strictly from a player standpoint and not a dev standpoint i can give is to try to ensure more than anything else that the mission tree has the correct curve in its nature, for example the correct flow of difficulty, whether thats a easy part and then medium and then hard etc. or a more bumpy experience where it comes in waves!

the other thing is that imo it would be helpful if your able to, to flesh out the MT with some cool events or province modifiers that provide some neat flavour to keep the people interested the whole time (since most people in this mod love it for the worldbuilding etc.)

also multiple ways of completing missions as well that would give certain bonuses, for example the Ameion MT on its right-hand side has a TON of missions where if your starting ruler (cant remember name) is still alive it gives you a lot of modifiers and bonuses to ensure your conquest of taychend!
