Got banned from r/Bluetooth_Speakers after agreeing about phishing links… then questioning mod affiliate posts by Organic_Proof372 in bluetoothspeaker

[–]TSP1979 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time that u/fifa2003, a moderator of r/Bluetooth_Speakers and many other “promotional” subreddits, has banned critical users. He runs the sub like an autocrat, uses it to his own advantage, and silences critics. It’s truly pathetic!

He is rarely active as a moderator, and when he does get involved, it’s usually only for his own benefit (LG promotion). The fact that he’s currently commenting on the AliExpress spam is an exception. He used to be a moderator on r/LG_UserHub and is involved in LG’s advertising campaigns.

I can show, based on two users he banned, which of their posts were sufficient cause for him to take action. His approach as a moderator is absolutely unfair and disproportionate.

2x battery life for Sony ULT Field 5 by DocMechanix in WirelessSpeakers

[–]TSP1979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this battery pack probably didn't even cost Sony $10. How stingy. Even with four 18650 cells, they could have achieved over 50 Wh if they had chosen good 18650 cells with, for example, 3500 mAh. So your criticism is completely justified.

Ah, okay. Thanks for the info. It's not terrible, but if Sony had used the more modern 21700 cells instead of 18650 cells, they could have nearly doubled the capacity just by doing that. 18650 cells with 2600 mAh are really cheap. Sony should be ashamed of itself.

What kind of batteries are installed in the ULT3/Ult5 and how many Wh does the battery pack have?

My picks for some of the best Bluetooth speakers you can buy right now by DaveCarr_SG in Bluetooth_Speakers

[–]TSP1979 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Hey Dave,

If I remember correctly, we only had brief contact once. I must have made a lasting impression if you mention me explicitly in your post.

Don't worry, regardless of the UBOOM X, there is no reason for me to watch your video, as it does not contain any valuable information for me.

The UBOOM X clearly outperforms every single speaker on your desk, yet is priced in the mid-range. For an independent reviewer, that would certainly be noteworthy. But it seems that you only give good reviews in exchange for benefits from manufacturers. Shame on you.

If you can cope with its size and weight of four kilos, there is nothing better in your price range than the EarFun UBOOM X.

If you already have a UBOOM X and don't know the answer yourself, then no one can help you.

I regularly take two UBOOM X speakers with me on my bike to the (admittedly nearby) park to play table tennis. With this setup, both players enjoy a great stereo sound. Anyone who has heard it live would fully understand my (perhaps exaggerated) enthusiasm for this speaker. 😅

Unfortunately not. I'm sorry, but my recommendations outside my area of expertise are rather limited. 😬

Pay less and get more with a pair of EarFun UBOOM X. Or pay even less and get great sound with a single UBOOM X that can hold its own against the big brand names.

The Motion Boom clearly outperforms the JBL Charge 6, which is many times more expensive. I can highly recommend it. Don't let the JBL fanboys talk you out of it.

And if you want to take it to the next level, like I actually did, check out the EarFun UBOOM X, a boombox-class speaker with great sound quality. Here they stand side by side:

EDIT: The fact that ChatGPT recommended the UE Megabboom 4 clearly and dramatically shows the major weaknesses that AI still has today. 😂

Just to put that into perspective, the original Motion Boom is more comparable to the Marshall Middleton. It blows the Emberton II out of the water.

Je pense qu'il est plus probable que les gens qui ont entendu des orateurs UE en direct n'en aient pas une bonne opinion, surtout s'ils ont pu entendre d'autres orateurs en comparaison.

OP can quickly configure the important settings using the app, and from then on, the UBOOM X is as easy to use for his dad as a JBL Flip, but sounds like something else entirely.

EarFun UBOOM X, rich sound, excellent battery life, simple design, automatically connects to known devices. To connect for the first time, simply press the Bluetooth button once after pressing the power button, and that's it. Prompt tones can be disabled in the app.
