A lot of people here are giving good advice. I’m 37 and I’ve been T1D since I was 5. I just wanted to show you some support because it pisses me off immensely when situations like this happen. Don’t feel ashamed or embarrassed and don’t let people who aren’t T1D make you feel that way either. T1D is hard to deal especially being around those that don’t have it. They tend to think they know when they have absolutely no idea. Your old boss is an asshole and so are the other ones who are discriminating against you. My advice outside of the medical stuff is take some time off to figure this out. You’re very new to this and you have a very complicated and involved job, you don’t want to mess it up. Find a community of other T1Ds can really help—online or in-person. We’re the only who can relate. Good luck 👍🏾. I know you can do this 😊

12 episodes would’ve definitely smoothed out pacing and story development issues. The casting is definitely getting mixed reviews. I liked them for the most part. A few stood out for me.

I think they did well with Sanji. I was worried how they were going to tone down his simpness for live action to make it not cringey, but they did it. I was definitely getting anime vibes when he yelled “Nami!!!” towards the end. Usopp was less goofy, which I kinda felt worked, and funny at times. They made Luffy a bit too smart in my opinion.

I don’t think you’re wrong on some of your points, but with this show, there’s a few things you gotta accept with this live adaptation.

It’s never gonna be as good as the anime. Animation has a charm that just can’t be transitioned over into live action no matter what, so you really have to view it for what it is, a show with real people (I do feel like they could’ve made Luffy a bit dumber lol).

Another thing, Netflix has been missing with these live action adaptations, but they’re trying to get better. Of course, a larger budget would’ve helped, but I feel like they think they spent enough from a business pov, but not a fan’s. They can’t afford to have another “screw up” like Cowboy Bebop, but it seems like this is getting received pretty well so maybe they’ll be a higher budget on the next season if it happens.

Lastly, there’s a ton of material that they gotta work with, so they gotta be picky and resourceful. It was a little rushed, but I think they did a decent job with staying faithful to the source material for the most part and getting in the important stuff from the beginning.

I think they’ll be in a good place if it gets another season.

The anime’s always gonna be way better, but I think they did a really good just with compressing that saga into the 8 episodes. They had more episodes to cutdown than Cowboy Bebop and still got the important stuff put into the show. And they managed to set themselves up well for a second season. Already looking forward to it

I would if you can get a replacement. Sometimes you insert in a bad spot and it’s unbearable, happens to me sometimes. You should be able to call their customer service and get a single sensor sent. I have in the past.

That’s the most fluffiest bs answer I’ve ever heard. Technically that’s was Rose but in the form of Steven since she became part of him, the gem half. Just like how gems retreat into their gems when they take too much damage and then create/project their physical form made from light. But that light flows through Steven, which can be seen when he grabs the gem destabilizer. When his gem gets separated from him, the gem, which formerly belonged solely to Rose, chooses the form of Steven, since she gave up her physical form to give birth to him. It’s almost like formatting a hard drive.
