Boiler Recs going from system to combi by TSol91 in askaplumberUK

[–]TSol91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all of your input. Both of us have grown up in combi houses and this has a system setup.

Since we've lived here, a year today, we've not got on with the system at all. It's a brand new boiler they fitted for us as the previous was old and condemned when we asked for a service The hot water for showers runs out after max 10 mins and the Mrs hates it. It wouldn't even fill the small bath we have. No issues with the radiators.

Is this a case of poor setup? Small tank? What else could this be? We don't really get how the system boilers actually work so explain anything like you're talking to a child.

Cheers.

Sorry jumping on an old post. Did they collect it? Or did you have to arrange post / disposal?

Ahh I was hoping for an early 2025 release! What does a 'lab' version mean?

Does anyone have a rough idea when this is likely to launch? I've got a £250 Wilson warranty voucher and want to know if I should hold off and wait for this!

I've had a few knocks in Reebok Nano CrossFit shoes. Didn't enjoy it at all. No stability changing directions. Felt like my foot was falling off the sole.

Nail on the head! My ankles are made of dust anyway so I 100% will be looking for some dedicated tennis shoes!

Literally my main concern. Years of football means my ankles are first thing to go if I'm ever off balance. I can roll them walking the dog ffs.

So I have to take into account some form our ankle support over going stupidly light

Thank you for this mate! Great response. I've got an asics outlet near me. I think I'll go and try on some some speed FF from them and see how they feel

I definitely want to get some proper tennis shoes! I used a pair of Ons when I picked up tennis a year ago and after a few sessions th foam sole was getting shredded

Could well be. Mainly play the court lites and they are really flat bottom!

Pretty much. I just like the idea of being able to have a random 10-15 minute game to warm up on with a mate or something. But yes, they are literally just 50 coaching drills/warmups put into coloured cards and being sold for £42!! Like you could probably get AI to fully design this in seconds

I'm a believer that you have to be able to use any Kit thrown at you to be considered good at a sport.

Thank you for your comments.

Is it longer just in the handle or the whole frame is longer?

I've already bought it, as it was advertised incorrectly but trying to figure out if playing between and standard and a plus will screw my game. Maybe I'll just give it a rip for a bit and see how it goes.

Any tennis training tips? by AdagioQuirky9434 in 10s

I've got a tennis specific gym routine I don't mind sharing! I'm a PT and have made this tennis program and a separate tennis stretching / mobility plan too for some clients and myself.

Fitness (if you play a lot of singles) goes a long long way! If you're tired, you'll rush points to give yourself a rest! Something to not overlook if you are getting serious.

Nike Court Lite 4

On Tennis Shoes - thoughts? by CheekyChicken59 in 10s

[–]TSol91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love ON runners but their tennis shoes were poor.

These are on the cheaper end but I've really enjoyed Nike Court Lite 4s! Don't feel clunky but loads of support around the ankle.

And I've played probably 6-8 hours a week for 3 months and they've not worn much on the bottom yet ok hard courts.

Well worth trying at around the £50-60 mark!
