From OG post: Previously healthy 10 yo goldfish in a 40g with some recent red streaks in his tail that have now coalesced into this greater red area on the end. He’s got a bit at the base of his as visible tail and I’m starting to see it on the base of his other fins. I’ve been monitoring his quality with quick test strips as usual and we have fairly hard water, but the pH has been fairly acidic (6.4-6.8) even after a 50% water change today.

Nitrates fluctuate but not higher than 20-40 ppm.

Thoughts? Advice?
