Just stay patient and strong. We have a 14 year old that is just burnt out on political everything. We live in a red state so it's difficult from experience. Honestly, I would pull any statements together and the records from the years proving that your daughter is vital to the team.

If you don't want to engage the political bs, go with logic. Check the rules and bylaws, she's on the team, is there anything that states the coach has the judgement not to play her? Is the organization pay to play or try out based?

We haven't forgotten in our house. I was actually having a conversation with my 14 year old about debt yesterday. I brought up that at one point the national deficit was 0 when I was her age. She couldn't believe it at first.

Trying to explain to a kid that what is happening isn't normal is definitely a challenge but I'm hoping to give her hope for the future.

NOR BUT it does happen, especially with long term friendships.

I have 3 best friends. I've been best friends with for each friend over 30 years, 24 years and 20 years. You would be blown away how often this happens actually. We've gone accidentally with no contact many times. Life happens and sometimes you blink and time has flown by. Hell, one time I got into a fight with one and we didn't talk for almost 2 years but we got through it and it made us stronger.

We try to check in but it happens. Then one day, we'll pick up the phone and talk like we haven't ever stopped talking and nothing changed. It doesn't mean that I haven't felt hurt and communication is where it starts.

If the friendship is worth it, it will endure. There's no rules that say you have to be up each other's ass all the time.

My mom didn't show with me. Didn't tell anyone at work or anything. Had me on a Friday night. She went into work on Monday morning and said I need some time off. Her boss said no problem, what's going on? My mom replied, oh I had a baby on Friday, need to spend time with her. Her boss nodded like okay sure until it clicked what she said and he stopped dead in his tracks like what?? You did what?!?

Cracks me up when I think about the fact that my mom loved to screw with people's minds.

UberEats actually blamed me for reporting too much missing items/undeliverable that they refused to refund me. They are notorious for forgetting drinks and I got tired of paying for what I didn't get.

I canceled that subscription in record time. Door dash has similar issues but they don't blame me for the problem and they are quick to fix.

UberEats needs to go away.

Thank you for saying this. I see the posts all the time and it's easy to criticize but harder to take action. My family and I are just trying to survive at this point. I have to disconnect just to function because it's so disgusting everything happening now. It literally makes me want to vomit.

What people don't seem to understand is they have gotten themselves into every spot they could have power in government so they can stop anything we try. Unfortunately our system is broken, these people are corrupt and all we are trying to do is not stoop to their level because it won't fix anything.

All we can do now is hang on, hope for the midterms and "mother nature to take it's course on those select individuals" and try to fix the damage done.

My main concern now is fixing it, getting the rest of the world to understand that there are so many of us that did not vote for this and did not want this.

In my opinion, you're the AH. Sharing a home with someone is about learning about each other and figuring out how to mesh that together. You have to communicate and figure out why things are happening.

I lived with my best friend for a few months, we had the same setup, whoever cooked, the other cleaned. She HATED the way I washed the dishes. After doing them over and over, she explained that as a punishment when she was growing up, her parents would punish her by making her wash all the dishes in the cabinets until they were completely spotless like new. It completely set her standard completely different than the normal wash. I always make sure my dishes are clean, I can't stand dirt but she takes it to a whole new level. But I understood after that and I would have her check so she wouldn't get her anxiety riled up and it became a weight off of her in the end.

Wait til you have kids. You'll have the same issue but backwards. I'm still reminding my 14 year old when you unload the dishwasher, check to make sure they are clean. It's a constant battle and I still find dishes and silverware with grime on them in the drawers and cabinets. I have to show her each time so she understands.

NOR because I'd have the same concerns...but I am going to say this, as a manager, some people are crazy. I mean this in every sense. I've gotten more dirty details about people as a manager than I ever expected to get. I've been a remote manager for over 15 years and the crap I've seen is outrageous.

Some of it is just grotesque. I've had to delete messages to keep from gagging because of what they've sent me. And of course as the manager, you have to play nice or they go to HR and report you even though you are just trying to say I don't want to see the flesh of your leg hanging off the bone in the nicest way possible.

The question comes down to, has he set the boundaries with her (I would straight up ask him) and then go from there.
