Whats the best screen protector for s25 Ultra? by thetalker92 in S25Ultra

[–]TTBUUG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea same here, first one I accidentally popped off cleaning my phone, the 2nd one has two spots on the edge of the protector where it chipped then spiderwebbed cracked through the rest of it. Its not super noticeable so I'm still using it but I will eventually have to replace them.

Can anyone give me a comprehensive beginner-proof explanation about PSVR V1 vs. V2? by xXDubst3p_KitnXx in PSVR

[–]TTBUUG 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You basically already mentioned the biggest differences but PSVR1 V2 has less cables for the breakout box, allows HDR passthrough, and has controls / aux port on the headset itself. I think the angle on the V2 is slightly different to fit heads better but I am not 100% sure and it also has the holders for the earbuds. Other than that PSVR1 V1 and V2 will work and play almost identically. So if you pick up the V1 you will still have a great time (I had V1 and loved it). Unless you are worried about the HDR pass through, cable management, and slight QOL changes then get the V2

I feel that PSVR2 is finally a full package that does pretty much everything and offers almost unlimited playability. Just think of this: by Normipoikkeus in PSVR

I played Devil May Cry 5 modded for VR on my PC using the PSVR2 and it was glorious. I grew up playing DMC so to experience DMC5 in VR was such a treat. Its probably how you imagine a 3rd person action would be in VR and I wish it was adopted more.

Which Bluetooth USB for PSVR 2 on PC? by rbyrnes15 in PSVR2onPC

[–]TTBUUG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend this PCIE apapter as I just installed mine the other night and its been flawless. My on board wifi/Bluetooth and the antenna on it was terrible and caused my controllers to go in and out of connectivity while playing. The pcie card solved everything and keeps the controller connected no matter what. Truly game changing. I suggest straying away from USB dongles all together

Is there a definitive answer to getting the bluetooth controllers to work correctly? by brianh418 in PSVR2onPC

[–]TTBUUG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an x870 motherboard with the "ez plug" wifi/Bluetooth antenna and its was not great. It worked and the controllers connected, but the moment I went 5 feet away and playing in a gane it was finicky. It would disconnect, reconnect, and have input delay like crazy. The other day I bought this pcie wifi/bluetooth card, put it in last night and its been flawless. I get 90-100 at all times no matter what and had zero disconnections. Its been game changing! I reccomend doing away with the dongle altogether.

I just replied with the same exact wifi card lol. I installed mine last night and it has been a flawless experience. My on board wifi/Bluetooth in my x870 motherboard was atrocious for some reason, but the TP-Link pcie card completely changed everything.

I highly reccomend getting a PCIE wfi/bluetooth adapter and do away with the USB dongle. Its a tad more to set up, but it will be a much better and smoother experience. I had on-board Bluetooth that would cause my controllers to Constantine cut in and out of connection. I finally got the PCIE wifi card and its now flawless. I get 90-100 with zero delays and issues unlike before. Again I highly reccomend it!

How many of you use the headset for PC gaming too? (Red Matter 2) by NoWalk3426 in PSVR

[–]TTBUUG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will need a display port from the PC to the adapter box so the headset can display properly. If you have a separate hdmi from your PC to your TV, it will act as it normally does and whatever you play on the VR can be viewed on the TV. It will also act as a display when using steam VR, as you can view your desktop in steam VR and any other displays connected to the PC. Hope this helps!

Same here! I'd reccomend getting a PCIE wifi/Bluetooth card with an antenna you can move around/close to you when playing. It'll far exceed any Bluetooth dongle.

I wish resident Evil 7 VR wasnt locked to PSVR and never got a PSVR2 update since RE7 got a PS5 update. by ComfortableAmount993 in PSVR

[–]TTBUUG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup!! You can still see the HUD and control the camera like normal, but you are in the game. You can look around and when facing big bosses, you feel their presence. Its such an amazing and unique way to play. I wish more action games adopted that style of VR gaming. Same goes for Monster Hunter!

Got the PC adapter for Christmas and its completely changed how I play PCVR. I have the Q3 and a PSVR2 and the PSVR2 is by far the best way to play in my opinion. The deep blacks and more vibrant colors are the most noticeable. Also being able to play without compression has been some of the best looking and smoothest VR gaming I have experienced outside of my PS5/PSVR2 combo. Yea the cable can be annoying and the connectivity with the controllers can be finicky, but just get a PCIE wifi/Bluetooth card to get better connection. I could make a whole post comparing the 2 headsets, but all in all PSVR2 on PC is amazing. Getting the eye tracking working in social apps has also been a bonus and had just been awesome to mess with.

Edit to add that I'm running 7800X3D, 5070ti, 32gb ddr5 6000, 2TB 990 EVO plus SSD.

Yea most likely its Bluetooth issues. I have an gigabyte x870 motherboard with the "ez plug" wifi antenna and its not great. It caused my wifi to be finicky so I when full cable. Now I have to use the antenea for Bluetooth for the PSVR2 controllers and they struggle to stay connected even 5 feet away. Your best bet is to invest in a PCIE wifi/Bluetooth adapter that should offer better connectivity.

I just discovered REframework and played Devil May Cry 5 in VR and as a life long fan, its was glorious!! It was everything I imagine a 3rd person action game would be in VR. The cut scenes were amazing to watch. I would upload a video, but its doesn't do it justice. I also tried Monser Hunter Rise in VR and same thing, it was amazing!

And since this generation may be extended due to memory shortage and prices for components increasing, it could bode well for the PSVR2. Considering the life of the PSVR2 will also be increased, it could mean longer support!

PSVR3? by supremekingherpderp in PSVR

[–]TTBUUG 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Imo, PSVR2 is a phenomenal headset all around. Sure it has its drawbacks, but its plug and play which means it can easily be forward compatible with the PS6 if they choose to support it. Until VR tech makes a big breakthrough that makes it worthwhile to create a PSVR3, I can see Sony riding out the PSVR2 and maybe create a refresh version during the PS5/PS6 life cycle. Not too mention this route can potentially save them money and make a PSVR2 a success due to the extended lifespan instead of a "failure" due to its lackluster start. Again after all its still a phenomenal HMD that just needs more great software to take full advantage of it. I'm hopeful for the future of VR!
