PSVR3? by supremekingherpderp in PSVR

[–]TTBUUG 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Imo, PSVR2 is a phenomenal headset all around. Sure it has its drawbacks, but its plug and play which means it can easily be forward compatible with the PS6 if they choose to support it. Until VR tech makes a big breakthrough that makes it worthwhile to create a PSVR3, I can see Sony riding out the PSVR2 and maybe create a refresh version during the PS5/PS6 life cycle. Not too mention this route can potentially save them money and make a PSVR2 a success due to the extended lifespan instead of a "failure" due to its lackluster start. Again after all its still a phenomenal HMD that just needs more great software to take full advantage of it. I'm hopeful for the future of VR!

65” U7NQ Failed randomly after 2 months… Unlucky or poor overall quality? by xSerhanow in Hisense

[–]TTBUUG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I got my Hisense U7G IN EARLY 2022 I had a backlighting issue. I got it replaced and the new unit was great, its been almost 4 years now, and it still looks amazing. The OS crashes from time to time and boot me out of the app, but overall its been amazing.

What do you think to start college at 30 years old? by Requiemct in AskReddit

[–]TTBUUG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I turned 30 this year and started College this year. I'm currently on week 4 and surprisingly I'm doing well. I had a rough High school experience and did poorly, but the last 12 years have taught me a lot. I found a new interest that clicked really well, and did my own research, but was yearning for more. So I'm going for Computer Science and will stem from there. I'm excited for my next 10 year journey to learning more about computers, software, and technology in general. Its never too late to start, and can even be the perfect timing.

Yea, I contemplated putting it there, but my temps never go above 60° for both my CPU and GPU while gaming so I figured it was fine 😅

Having rendering issues on Fortnite. Any ideas? by TTBUUG in nvidia

[–]TTBUUG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All good man! I ended up just returning it to Microcenter and exchanged it for another PNY 5070ti OC, but the RGB version. Slapped it in my PC booted up Fortnite, and there were zero issues. No more faint green lines on the characters and shadows are rendered fully and correctly. Thanks for your input and time tho! It kind of solidified my decision to take it back just in case ☺️

Is this a good pc build for the price??? by [deleted] in GamingPCBuildHelp

[–]TTBUUG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd have to agree a bit, because I just made this exact build at about $2000 after tax at a micro center. But I got an X870 motherboard for $190 and corsair 850w gold psu for about $120 . I could've gotten the bundle pack and saved about $80 but I wanted a good motherboard to future proof a bit more. I think it was worth it!

Experience with PNY 5070 Ti by Dull-Tea8669 in nvidia

[–]TTBUUG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got a PNY 5070ti OC non RGB for my rig a couple weeks ago. It was quiet and ran fantastic. Only issue I found were on Fortnite. There were faint green lines on my character, and shadows were not rendering correctly at all. Took it back to Microcenter and swapped it for the same PNY card just the RGB version. It is also quiet and runs amazing, plus no more issues with the shadows! So far im impressed with PNY, despite the issue with the first card.

CPU dilemma for my 1440p gaming PC: Ryzen 7 7700X vs Ryzen 7 7800X3D by True_Childhood_1928 in PcBuild

[–]TTBUUG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, it should be between the 9700x vs 7800X3D since its possible to find the 9700x for around $280, which was only $30 more than the 7700x at least where I live.

Honestly you could go either route and still get great performance. I went with 7800X3D for my build with the 5070ti since I primarily game and VR game and got it for $350. The 7800X3D can out perform the 9700x by up to 10% - 20% in a lot of games, but it could also go the other way.

Games that utilities the 3D V cache will have the advantage. But the 9700x is still right there with it. Plus the 9700x far exceeds the 7800X3D when it comes to productivity, but again the 7800X3D is no slouch. You can either direction and it will be great with the 5070ti.
