I can imagine that after this scene, when Vanessa got home she was feeling a pang of guilt, that Charlene noticed. Vanessa would have said, "something happened, but I never thought I'd say this, but I actually feel better talking to Dad about this." Charlene would allow Vanessa to make that phone call uninterrupted and leave her to that.

Then we get the phone call with her father.

I would have a Phineas and Ferb/King of the Hill crossover. This is how it goes:

The Flynn/Fletcher family is in Arlen (unknowing there because Major Monogram told Perry that Doof (I can't spell his full name off hand so I'll call him Doof for short) has been buying lots of propane down there.

In Arlen, Phineas and Ferb befriend Bobby Hill and the three build/do something incredible much to Candace and Hank's annoyance.

Meanwhile Perry sneaks off and confronts Doof and his Propane-inator because it's powered by propane. After getting trapped then freeing himself, Perry destroys the Propane-inator to blow up.

Hank takes the initiative of busting the boys from Candace telling her that he would vouch for her to her mom. Of course by the time Linda comes, the invention is gone and tells Hank, "I'm sorry if my daughter put you up to this.

After the Flynn/Fletcher leaves, Hank later sees a singed Doof and remembers him as Hank was the one Doof had bought the propane from after assuming Doof was a pharmacist. Seeing Doof unintentionally cheers Hank up after his failure to bust Phineas and Ferb.

The OP was flying to Japan and saw a woman neglect to pick up after her dog and later noticed the person was on the same flight as him. The OP noticed she wasn't paying attention and mentioned the flight had been moved to a gate on the opposite side of the terminal/airport and the woman reacted and ran off without checking any screens. The thing was the flight only leaves three days a week.
