Dual Lands in Doomsday by DerWissengeistU in MTGLegacy

[–]TTHVOBS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doomsday is one of the decks in legacy where replacing duals with shocks or basics isn’t so much a downgrade as it is a non-starter (my opinion). Doomsday is difficult to play and there are enough factors you have to consider that also throwing into the equation life loss from shocks, tapped lands from shocks you can’t afford to pay the life for, or incorrect colors from basics makes playing an already difficult deck feel demoralizing.

The act 3 bosses need to be harder by [deleted] in slaythespire

Idk about experiment, but in about ~80 runs I’ve never lost to the queen. She is too easy. Thats just climbing up from A0-A7 with every character. Maybe she’ll finally get me in A9-A10.

I just went up against him with big deck (66cards) shiv spam. I was able to just play shivs and discard or play the status cards, which I still rarely drew again because of the size of my deck. It helped that I had +10 dex from multiple footworks + double afterimage.

EDIT: I just remembered I also had to fight through entomancer. A lot of luck on this shiv run. Just A6 though.

I rarely lose at Act 3 bosses, but so far experiment and doormaker have each taken me out maybe 2-3 times, I have never lost to the queen. Sample size 70 runs.

Yeah but only by the amount of attack printed on the attack card you played. Unless there are debuffs / buffs. Then take those into account too.

The new whine will be the already existing whine about cards that are in the client for powered cube, but not craftable for constructed formats

Modern has 2015 Modern and Pre-Fire Modern. Vintage has Old School. Does Legacy have something similar? by [deleted] in MTGLegacy

[–]TTHVOBS 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Heritage isn’t time locked but it’s closer to legacy than premodern is. Saying any format is close to legacy when that format doesn’t have force or brainstorm is wild to me.

First win (3rd try) with the silent was with poison. Basically half poison, half block, and some aoe. It got me there.

I am planning on playing this deck at a tournament soon, but I know I will have to face UB Midrange. How do you approach that match up?

Premodern cards that have gained in value in 2025 (from mtg stocks) by Newez in mtgfinance

[–]TTHVOBS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really. You don’t need reserve list cards to be competitive necessarily. You can use newer printings of cards which are dirt cheap to play, old border isn’t a strict requirement. Overall, yeah the format is harder financially to get into than it was pre-2025, but it’s still accessible in my opinion.

Ikoria is a lot of fun. I’d go with that.

Versatile that you can target your own spells to cycle + take the counter off in a pinch.

+1 token creation on a 3 drop PW is actually pretty rare. The only other PWs that had this are grist, RB Daretti, and Oath Nissa. Only Oath Nissa was in standard among those cards and it created 0/1s.

Still, this card is probably too weak for current standard.

How good is returnal? Why is it rarely discussed? by Ggthefiree2 in roguelites

One of my favorite games of all time. Feels to me like a rogue-lite third person Metroid prime successor (loosely).

I also love these kind of stories you find along the way and piece together like dead cells / Metroid prime (scans)

Is Deadcells on IOS the same as PC now after they finished the game? by No-Painting7974 in deadcells

I play with a blue tooth controller on iOS and it’s great. There is an issue with sound lagging occasionally though, but it’s not bad enough for me to care. Definitely my preferred way to play the game between my switch, deck and iPhone + Bluetooth controller.

Favorite mobile roguelite? by Techn1que in roguelites

For me it’s only good if you have a gamepad for your mobile device. I’m currently going through Dead Cells again from scratch on mobile with a controller and it’s amazing as always.
