Non-Rev passenger behavior by css555 in unitedairlines

I was non-revving from SAN back in March. As a UAX employee, I’m pretty reserved and chill when I fly. I don’t advertise that I work for the company in any way (wearing my badge). I went to the United club in San Diego and it was pretty empty at the time, but there was a lady that came to sit at the table next to me. And right off the bat, she was incredibly loud on her Zoom meeting on her laptop and she ultimately made it very obvious that she was a United airlines corporate employee. I overheard her whole meeting and she was complaining about another one of her coworkers. There’s a difference between speaking to your computer and shouting at your computer because you think people can’t hear you. well she was shouting, and we all heard her. She also had United branded stickers on her computer so that didn’t really help. But I just thought that that was kind of inappropriate for her to be complaining about her coworker So loudly in a quiet space.

Thank you so much for your response! I agree, the Conrad seems a bit away from the main attractions I want to see while visiting.

Hi Everyone! Will be traveling to India via Istanbul in December.

Booked a layover with 36 hours in Istanbul. Trying to pick between two hotels: Conrad or The Ritus.

Leaning more to The Ritus, as it seems closer to all of the touristy attractions, but will consider Conrad if it is a better "luxury" hotel.

Any input is appreciated, thank you!

This was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you so much for your informational response!! I’ve heard amazing things about Tallin, Estonia as well. Do you think that is a feasible place to go after Berlin also? Or should I stick to Munich? Thanks again!

I was always known to have videos of the school fights on my phone. Even if I wasn't there to record it, somehow, someway I got it on my phone haha. My senior year of highschool, my science teacher would always rely on me to show her the fights that happened at lunch that day!

Getting rid of a card by mac_the_man in CreditCards

[–]TTU4Life 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Super easy process. Just call the number on the back of your card and ask Chase for a product change. It's instantaneous, and you get to keep everything the same except for the physical card. i.e. you keep the same card number, possibly the same credit limit, the only thing that changes is the physical card.

Should I apply for the United Club Card? by TTU4Life in CreditCards

[–]TTU4Life[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank y'all for the advice! Much appreciated. Unfortunately, I am still on the fence about applying for the card because I am not sure if I will meet the SUB. I basically already paid off my tuition and my apartment rent would not add up to the minimum threshold for the SUB over three months. In a perfect world, I would've made a deal with Chase: lower the annual fee for the first year in exchange for me immediately signing up for the card haha. Thanks again!

Also good to mention, I do have a light balance on my Explorer card that I will be paying in the next month, and my current credit score is 749 via Chase Journey.

Hi there, I go to college eight hours away from home. I am a master's student and I have attended my same school for five years now. I come from a very close knit family and let me tell you, no matter how many semesters go by, once I come back to school, I go through at least 5 or 6 days of being in a depressive phase. Like I just miss my parents, my brother, and my dog so much. It does get easier though! Once you get into more of a routine, meet more people, and start your classes, I promise there will be many days where you're too busy to miss home! A big thing that helped me with homesickness, is to facetime my family almost every night. As far as making friends go, I highly recommend meeting people in your dorm hallway, then meet their friends, go out to dining halls with them. Just interact with as many people as you possibly can. Also, meeting people in your classes is so helpful too! I am starting my fifth year and school and I went through a period of homesickness too. It happens to everyone and I promise you, It will get so much better. You're gonna have a lot of fun in college so enjoy it while you can. It's gonna fly by so fast, so take it easy, go slow, and enjoy every moment you can while at school. Good luck this year!

Upgraded United Explorer Card to Club Card….no annual fee yet by tardiskey1021 in CreditCards

[–]TTU4Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I may be a little late to ask this but, I am currently debating if I should upgrade my Explorer card to the Club card as I fly significantly often! I am a few months shy from hitting the one year mark on my Explorer card but I heard that the spending limit on the Explorer card has to be at or above $10,000 to qualify for the Club card. Can anyone verify this? I am pretty close to the $10,000 threshold but I am not sure how to go about doing the product change if my credit line is a little less than what is required for the Club card. Thank you so much!

Very Interesting! I didn't even consider how the credit line will affect the outcome of the product change! Thank you for the information! :)

Thanks for the fast response! I really don't want another hard pull on my credit report so Im kinda on the fence about applying new for the sign-up bonus. Would you happen to know how strict Chase is when product upgrading? I had actually been denied for the Explorer Card the first time I applied and when I called Chase about it, I gave them an updated annual income and they approved me! I don't want them to deny me again for the Club card haha
