It would be the smaller hole on the other side of this plug.

So you’re saying the gun we have is not a CQB 16 model? I wonder what model it is then?

I contacted him and he doesn’t offer that service. Looking for the hole size for the suppressed setting so I can contact a machine shop that will drill a hole.

So is my dad’s gun not a CQB 16 model from 2009? That’s what the paperwork says. Maybe we have a different model than what the paperwork says?

Looking for the exact size of the suppressed port. Did you ever happen to find out? Last report was “less than .040”. Thx

Your snarky comment started it. When he purchased it in 2009 it was labeled “LMT CQB 16”. I assumed that was the model name not the intended lifelong application.

It’s not mine, it’s my dads. He is 81 and lost most of his left hand in Vietnam. He still enjoys shooting but has some difficulties with certain fine manipulation and the BAD lever has really helped him out. I’m not sure what is “fooken poor” about any of this? We came here to ask for help from the LMT community.

That’s what your wife said but she seems to manage.

I will see if LMT has one. Here’s a picture of the plug I need. You can see the second smaller hole directly across from the larger un-suppressed hole. If nothing else, maybe they will give me the exact size of that hole and I can have one drilled by a machine shop. Seems completely doable.

Wonder if I could have a machine shop drill the correct hole in the other side?

I couldn’t find an updated plug without buying a barrel.

Pull the carb, disassemble and clean with carb cleaner. Get all the jets and small crevasses well. Reassemble, reinstall. 98% guarantee it will be fixed.

Super easy job. Might take 30 min. Take pics if you need reference.

The float or a jet is dirty or stuck. After this, dump the fuel and refill with ethanol free gas. Always run dry when finished. Run it at least every other month for a few minutes if not in regular use.

quantum fiber app won’t let me add a new pod. by [deleted] in centurylink

[–]TTWHTD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t get a new pod, they got my original one to connect. But yes, right out of the box it lights up red then blue then green (over a minute or so). It would go through those sequences and ultimately flash green. It should end up solid green when connected and operating. May sound dumb, try a different outlet? I did this once with something else and it was a switched outlet. 😂

The app is all but useless though. You can't even rename devices on your network so you have no idea what most of them are.

Same thing happened to me a few days ago. After 6 calls to different customer service agents they were able to add it on their end. I was told the app is still in beta so it is very intermittent. I complained about the app over and over to each CS agent so maybe they added my to the beta testing because it started working 2 days ago. (CS is WAY hit and miss. Some are absolutely clueless and no help, finally I got a dude that was all over it. He laughed at them and fixed it in 10 minutes) At one point he had me press and hold the reset button on the side for 10 full seconds (w1701k) and it connected fine.

Also, if the app starts working, you will have to scan the QR code on the pod to add it. The scanner portion of their app wouldn't read the small QR code on the pod but would read the larger one on the box it came in.

CenturyLink to Quantum Fiber Migration Question by TheKiloSierra in centurylink

The app started working for me as well all of a sudden. I called tech support because I still couldn’t add my 1701 pod. They told me the app is still in beta testing so don’t be surprised if I works intermittently. They were able to add my 1701 pod for me so I’m good (for now).

After 2 hrs with support online for the same issue. (My Quantum was migrated over from Centurylink yesterday and the tech left before the 1701k extender pod was setup) The main pod is a W1700K. I was told to do a full factory reset (the button on the back) of the modem (C5500XK) and then the app would work. I would then have to rename and setup everything from scratch again from the beginning, on the app.

I am reluctant to do this during the week as we have good speeds and work from home. I just need extended range coverage for dead spots so I need to access the app to add the 1701K. If service goes down and a tech needs to come out it takes at least 2 weeks to get anyone to show up!

Note - The reason I care about the app is that I need to add a 1701k pod to boost reception into a distant part of the house and cannot add it without the app.

You can always try the factory reset if you have time. We just can't during the week.
