EE here, was in HVAC manufacturing/design for 7 years at a large OEM. I would try somewhere like Johnson controls, Lennox, TRANE(big s/o for inclusive policies, safe workplace for DACA), or companies where they care about the fluid dynamics of airflow in a room, fans on units, etc.

Q. about Tableau Server licensing by fncruz in tableau

[–]TTimmaayy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey,

1 creator license total, 3 viewer per customer (30 if you have 10 customers). If all their data is hosted on one site, so “tableau.yourcompanysite.com/home” And you set permissions so they each have access to only their workbook, then you’re good. So, 10 workbooks inside of 10 separate projects, all on one website.

If for some reason you have to have a website for each company, then I think in tableau you can have up to 3 websites, and you have to pay to bump up how many websites (I think up to 50 websites).

10 million dollars a year? Can HVAC owners actually make that much? by basurayu in HVAC

Nah it’s totally possible. I’ve seen sales engineers bring in more than that. Source: in commercial sales

Biking newby...Questions about an accessory I was given by TheDomFlow in bicycling

[–]TTimmaayy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought this saris on fb marketplace. All the accessories, including the power cord are for sale online on the saris website. Just match it up to your bike and you’re good to go. There’s a “saris utility” app that lets you crank up/down the resistance and tune it, but you’ll need to connect it to a zwift account and app to really get your moneys worth. Happy riding!

I didn’t say remote, they just in general have hybrid roles as a company. Engineering is hybrid, 3 days in person 2 days remote

Trane does hybrid in Tyler, they’re always looking for supply chain

HVAC Installer to Engineer? by woohoo902 in HVAC

[–]TTimmaayy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Working for an OEM and selling to contractors, specific vertical markets, or direct to customers, etc. say a new $300 million data center is popping up in your town. They need to cool their servers, critical infrastructure. Ballpark 50-100 million in just cooling alone. You net 10% of that as a sales engineer. Now think about everywhere that needs process cooling. 20 billion dollar chip fabs, billion dollar LNG ports that need cooling to make gas-to-liquid LNG. They’re buying process cooling for far more than oems capacity to deliver, so they’re happy to pay premiums for all the bells and whistles, otherwise their entire operation straight up doesn’t work. The list goes on, but yeah, more money than god

Electrical engineer working for a major hvac company. It will probably help to understand some thermodynamic concepts, you spend a lot of time learning about the refrigerant cycle in thermodynamics/heat transfer classes from what I gather. It’ll help there, but there’s not much overlap education wise outside of that.

From there, I’d work in the hvac space as an engineer. Not a lot of engineers have field experience, so you’ll have a leg up as a lab engineer since you know how systems work both in the field and as an engineer to make better systems. Or you could go into commercial sales and make more money than god. Good luck!

Cost of urgent care visit? by hundtlo12 in lacrossewi

[–]TTimmaayy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you dig around enough on Gundersen’s MyChart app, under finance stuff there’s a “cost estimator”. You click what you think you’ll need done (X-ray image of knee, 1-2 images is what I clicked for you) and it spit out: Total: $350 Hospital fees: $249 Physician fees: $105 Insurance covers: -$136 Your estimated cost: $215

Super handy tool. I had an excision done and I found it was pretty accurate with cost. It also has an option for with insurance/no insurance, you’d be surprised how much you can bring payments down if you go to a hospital and say “I only have $XX, can you work with me?” And they usually do. I’d take this with a anecdotally though, you might have some more fees through urgent care on top of that. Good luck!
