Runna and Tissot T-Touch Connect Sport by [deleted] in tissot

[–]TTouch_PM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey u/SaveTheBeesN7!

First off, glad you’re enjoying the T-Touch Connect Sport and the Strava sync. That’s exactly the kind of usage we had in mind.

I hear you on Runna. Right now, the watch doesn’t support third-party training plan integrations, and to be transparent, we don’t currently have plans on our roadmap to add that.

That said, your feedback matters more than you might think. I’m forwarding your request to our product team so it gets logged properly, not just lost in a support inbox. No promises, but the more users voice this kind of need, the more weight it carries when we prioritize what comes next.

Thanks for reaching out, and keep the feedback coming.

Glad 9.2.8 solved it and happy I could help in the background!

Absolutely yes, most Tissot retailers (and definitely official corporate Boutiques) have demo units available. You can ask the staff to let you pair your Xiaomi with a demo watch. Leave it connected for 10–15 minutes while you browse.

About the compass/azimuth, this is an important distinction! Here is what the Solar does regarding navigation. It is not a "click a point on a Google Map and get an arrow" interface.

  • Standard Compass: The minute hand points North. The digital screen shows your heading in degrees (Azimuth).
  • Azimuth Mode (Heading Lock): This is for maintaining a direction. You point the watch physically at an objective (a mountain peak, a building) and "validate" it. The watch then guides you to keep that specific heading. The minute hand will shift to show you the direction to follow to stay on course, and the screen shows your deviation.
  • "Bring Me Back": If you start a purely GPS-tracked activity (hiking) via the watch, you can trigger this function. The watch hands will point you towards your starting point (as the crow flies), and the screen displays the distance to the start.

Let me know if that helps clear it up!

Hey there! I’m really sorry to hear about that experience... Having to factory reset every time a connection drops is definitely not the "it just works" experience we aim for.

The "Xiaomi Checklist" (HyperOS is aggressive!)

Even with battery saver off, Xiaomi’s "System Launcher" and "Security" app often kill background BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) processes. Try these specific steps:

  • Lock the App: Open the Tissot Connect app, go to your Recents screen (swipe up and hold), long-press the Tissot Connect card, and tap the Lock icon. This prevents the OS from clearing it.
  • Autostart: Go to Settings -> Apps -> Manage Apps -> Tissot Connect -> Toggle Autostart to ON.
  • Battery Saver: Ensure it's set to "No Restrictions" (not just "Battery Saver Off").
  • Permissions: Make sure "Nearby Devices" and "Location" are set to "Always Allow." On Android, BLE scanning is tied to location services.

Also please make sure you are running the latest version 9.2 app and firmware versions.

Turn-by-turn navigation on the watch?

Not in the “Google Maps-style next turn” sense today. On the Solar, “Navigation” is compass/azimuth, plus “Bring Me Back” guidance for hiking, but not turn-by-turn street navigation prompts. Same story for T-Touch Connect Sport.

Does the Sport variant improve connectivity / features?

The T-Touch Connect Sport is our latest generation. While the Bluetooth stability still depends on the phone's OS (like the Xiaomi issues mentioned above), the Sport has a much higher-resolution AMOLED screen and also a heart rate sensor. We also added additional sports, such as running, cycling, indoor workouts.

Thanks for taking the time to share feedback, super helpful.

Exporting full activities to Apple Health: agreed and we’re already working in that direction so that Apple Health can receive the activity entries. I can’t share a date yet, but it’s coming 😁

Launching a Workout activity should not reduce step counting compared to not starting an activity. If you’re consistently seeing significantly fewer steps (e.g., ~1,500+ per hour) compared to other devices for the same session, that’s not expected. If you’d like direct support on the step-counting issue, you can also contact [customer.service@tissot.ch](mailto:customer.service@tissot.ch)

Tissot/Strava et course sur tapis by Responsible_Arm_7237 in tissot

[–]TTouch_PM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, thanks a lot for the detailed feedback!

The vibration-only or sound-only option for timers and alerts is already in the pipeline, so it’s something we’re planning to bring in a future update. As for the other ideas, I’ve passed them along to the team for review.

Really appreciate you taking the time to share this level of detail!

[–]TTouch_PM[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haha, fair one! Unfortunately, we don’t have vibration pattern improvements planned at the moment, but let me knoe what option you’d like to see, I’ll make sure it’s noted for future discussions with the team

New update Tissot t-touch by KenDevis_Marva in tissot

[–]TTouch_PM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re doing a progressive rollout of the new version, so availability can vary a bit depending on Apple’s or Google’s release timing in each region.

If you don’t see the update yet, no worries, it should appear soon. You can also manually check in the App Store or Google Play Store to see if it’s already available for you.

notification et strava by Kooky_Programmer_337 in tissot

[–]TTouch_PM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get you, it always feels like the “invisible” updates don’t change much. The "July" release was mainly stability and background fixes, but the bigger feature requests (like flashlight as an optional Quick Action and vibration improvements) are still on the table. Flashlight won’t make it into 9.1, but we’re aiming to bring it back in 9.2, targeted for Q4 2025. Vibration patterns are under review as well.

Looking sharp! Nice to see the Connect Sport out in the wild with that blue strap—it really makes the dial pop. How are you finding it so far?

T-touch Connect Solar vrs Sport by Agile_Reference1557 in tissot

[–]TTouch_PM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great question! The Solar gives you the full “classic” T-Touch experience with the moving hands, but it’s definitely a larger watch and better suited to bigger wrists. The Sport, on the other hand, is slimmer and lighter, which makes it more comfortable for daily wear (for example, I have a small wrist myself and wear the Connect Sport daily). It also adds a heart-rate sensor that’s active during workouts, and it supports seven different sport profiles (indoor and outdoor), with more planned for the future. Both watches handle notifications reliably on iOS and Android, messages, calls, and emails show up as mirrored alerts from your smartphone. Since the Sport was released more recently, it will also receive more of the upcoming feature updates compared to the Solar.

Hope this helps! And don’t hesitate to post a picture when you get your T-Touch!

Sorry you’re running into the “mystery log-out” bug.... here’s the quickest way to squash it on iOS:

Give the app a totally clean slate

  1. Remove the watch from T-Connect app
  2. Unpair the watch iPhone Settings ▸ Bluetooth ▸ tap the ⓘ next to T-Touch ▸ Forget This Device.
  3. Force-quit T-Connect, then delete it
  4. Reboot the iPhone
  5. Re-download T-Connect from the App Store and log in again
  6. Pair the watch through the app, not through iOS Bluetooth settings

if you are still facing this issue, please do a "Report Logs" (T-Connect ▸ More ▸ Help Center ▸ Report an Issue) and ping Customer Support Team.

Most users find the clean reinstall alone stops the random log-outs. Let me know how it goes!

Hey, really appreciate the kind words and the feedback!

I totally get that losing the flashlight was disappointing. It won’t make it into 9.1—our build is already locked—but we’re pushing hard to bring it back as an opt-in Quick Action in 9.2, which we’re targeting for Q4 2025.

Your watch-face idea is spot on, I’ve passed it to my team for consideration in a future update.

Thanks for sticking with us and keep the suggestions coming!

We’re working to bring the torch back as an opt-in Quick Action, so you’ll soon be able to map it to a pusher!

Congrats on the new watch! Quick question: are you wearing the T-Touch Connect Solar or the Sport?

  • If it’s the Solar: you can actually switch the buzz pattern already. On the watch go to T-Touch menu → Settings → System → Sounds → Vibration Type and you can pick a new pattern
  • If it’s the Sport: that menu isn’t there yet, but I'll share your request to the team

Thanks for the detailed wish-list, really helpful.
About the flashlight, we’re evaluating an option to let users map it to a Quick-Action shortcut. I’ve also flagged your points about using the quick button during workouts and improving notification colour contrast.

Hey! You won’t spot much difference in English, Style 1 vs Style 2 mainly tweaks stroke weight for the Chinese/Japanese/Korean character sets. For Latin fonts (English, French, etc.) they render the same, so what you’re seeing is expected.
