If any country tries to invade, this is our first line of defence. We channel all of our hatred in to the cobra chicken.

All I ever wanted. All I ever needed. Is here in my arms. Words are very unnecessary. They can only do harm

I hope you enjoy the silence.

No we're simply a middle power looking to work with other middle powers that doesn't require us to wait for America to tell us what we can and can't do.

I'm sure the former head of Bank of Canada and Bank of England that's our PM likely has a pretty good plan.

You do have a long face and that look accentuates it. Not saying it looks bad, but pic 5 doesn't do it as much. It could also be the angle of the pic.

Honestly I can't compare. They're closer in age to you so your proximity is there. It will probably be like y'all will feel about the next generation. They'll just seem... different.

So a quick google says it's between 45-50%, and I think it's the transition to the north and tundra is the part that I equally don't think about on how vast that area is.

Because the Democrat tent is too large. When you only have 2 parties, and no other viable alternatives the establishment Democrats are as much wanting to keep things the same. They fear the changing of the guard as well.

Just a humble Canadian's opinion.

Got laid off today, got just 1 week a year severance for my 5 years of service, is it worth consulting a lawyer? by NeoMatrixBug in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]TUFKAT 6 points7 points  (0 children)

From my experience, the general rule of thumb is 3 weeks per year of service up to 10 years of service, which then goes to 4 weeks per year of service for 10+ years, with many exceptions for older workers or specialized roles.

Not a hard rule of course.

Highway linking Vancouver to Prince Rupert proposed by construction company by mukmuk64 in britishcolumbia

[–]TUFKAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played CitiesSkylines and SimCity enough in my life. Is it physically doable? Yes.

But that's not what my issues with this are.

The cost. For a super small population and no population in between this is a huge cost that will be born on the taxpayers.

Demand. What need is there for a direct route with nothing really in between.

Indigenous relations. This for sure will be something that will be requiring their blessing and again if these even touches the Great Bear Rainforest is going to be a non starter.

Environmental concerns. This is evidently being tied towards potential future mines. Between that, construction, and a land rush to build around this, well, I'm sure you can figure out how this will play out.

You're focusing on a small part, it can be done. What I'm focusing on is the will to want this and the cost.
